After a crazy day I'm finally getting a chance to sit down and dig into a new book on release day (and have some peanut butter milk 😮)! Anybody get the book today?

I have to read a horror book for my summer reading program. I dislike and never read horror so I figured Poe would at least be classic literature. The cover and pages of this book are pretty cool though.
This summer my library has a produce fridge where people can share veggies they have grown! I am terrible about not eating what I grow so I was so happy to drop zucchini and cukes off! 🥒📖🌞
My library's adult summer reading program includes a weekly raffle entry and, if you read a book in the genre of the week you receive a bonus prize of a $5 voucher for their book sale or their little Library Bookshop (with some of their nicer used books). I just got these from the bookshop with the $10 in vouchers I've earned so far. Quite the exciting haul!

Small haul from the library and book sale today including a free puzzle Swap and magnetic bookmark.
pickI picked this up because the author is coming to my town in a few weeks. I wasn't sure I would enjoy it or get through it and I ended up reading the entire book in one night, which is rare for me. I've started his book poetry now and am looking forward to hearing him speak.
I alo received the pictured bookmarks as part of the Valentine's swap. As a nonfiction reader, they are perfect.
Sunday Me Time at with a stack of magazines, travel books, chamomile and danish at Barnes and Noble.
Took myself out for a Valentine's Weekend date to the local Museum and Planetarium. My library let's check out a membership to the museum for free admission!
There's very little that's good in the crappy little town I live in. But somehow we have amazing libraries. I really didn't realize how unusually great they are until I started posting here and people would comment about some of the pictures I take of things offered from my libraries. The latest thing my library is doing is really amazing. A period panty, an entire bookshelf (it's cut off in the picture here) of free period products.
bailedI really wanted to get through this book, I just couldn't take the author having to talk about herself every few minutes. I wish the editor would have made her focus on the content instead of writing a self important pseudo memoir.
Small $2 Haul from a Book Sale today. I have recently become obsessed with planning a Disney Vacation I can never take, so I am psyched to have gotten the 2022 guides. Also excited one of my books is from the Strand.
