As a fan of the first couple seasons of the show it was fun to read this soapy book. A basic sort of trashy novel about the lives of the mostly spoiled teens on nyc‘s upper east side. Chuck comes off even creepier in the book if that‘s possible. S tries to return but has a harder time than she thought. Will be B and S reconcile...guess I‘ll have to keep reading. These two Grace Paley books arrived today and I have to admit the #sobaditsgood covers were the main reason I decided to finally purchase them!
I'm yet to read them so can't really comment on the content but I'm certain there will be a #girlforallseasons in these short stories.

These books are definitely not great works of literature, and when ranking vampire novels I'd place them just a few steps above Twilight and the House of Night series. But, they're fun and kind of lighthearted books about a teenage girl and her boyfriend, who might not actually even be a vampire. #SoBadItsGood #MayBookFlowers

These were the first vampire books I remember reading, and they still have a place on my shelves!

However, compared to the more adult books I read now, there are definitely some very vague plots and limited characterisation. I still love them though! ☺️

The covers leave something to be desired though! 😂🤣😅

When I was a library student I volunteered at one of the branches of the Free Library of Philadelphia. I spent a lot of time sorting and shelving and one day came across this gem. I can't even tell you how long I sat there cackling over these "celebrity" fashions. The bottom left is "inspired" by Clint Eastwood. #Maybookflowers #sobaditsgood

The Australian Women's Weekly has been sharing recipes for 50 years; in this cookbook they show old (sometimes disgusting) recipes (top right), newer takes on recipes (bottom left), and some downright kitsch creations (bottom right). The microwave hollandaise is my favourite- bad for the waistline, good for the tastebuds!
