pickSoft pick. I liked the friendship, the diversity, the growth of the characters, and of course the dog. Baseball isn't as famous in Switzerland as it is in the US or India, so I didn't really know what was happening on the field. All in all a good book, but for me it felt overloaded. Baseball, maths, Shakespeare, magic... I think it would've been better if the author had focused on only one or two topics.
bailedAbandoning. Was trying the audio and I just can't handle the mispronouncing of Cochlear Implant and the need to slur our Deaf main character's voice when he's encouraged to use it and his family not being willing to learn ASL with him. Just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe someday I'll get my hands on my book and let my internal reading do the text justice.
