The job interview questions (to work in the Royal Library) include: how quickly can she run, and, whether she strongly valued keeping all ten fingers. 😆
Having worked in libraries filled with grimoires that have various skills and are fraught with danger, Elisabeth joins forces with Nathaniel and his demon, Silas, to battle evil.
This was a bunch of fun. I can‘t wait to read the new novella to see what happens next. 📚📖😬📕 #catsoflitsy

Mehso-so

Lovers to enemies to lovers. Naomi has the perfect fiancé. Nicholas comes from a proud, upstanding family. They are preparing for their extravagant wedding but, Naomi wants out. Naomi finds out that Nicholas has had second thoughts too. This is where the fun begins, a head to head battle in pranks, sabotage and a test on family loyalty. There is a catch, whoever ends the engagement foots the bill.
A witty, sarcastic entertaining read.

This was just super slow and I kept getting confused on what was going on. I was excited to finally get to this one, but it just wasn‘t for me.

Something Shady | Pamela Morsi

Rich with Edwardian detail but kind of meh next to Morsi's other books, with too much focus on tiresome teenagers. Nice slow burn romance though. (If you can call it then when one person has been secretly in love for 17 years!) Props to Morsi for finding a way to keep us from worrying about her teen boy character in the upcoming war.

I think this will end my #BacklistReadathon ; can't have too much Morsi all at once!

This one was slow for me after the first part up until 100 or so pages and then it was good and went through all kinds of roller coasters! Starting the sequel now!

This book, set in early Twentieth Century Missouri, features a high school book club called “the Lady Lits.“

Some things never change, I guess. 😂

Trying to decide which cover is the least true to the book, the one with the legs in lace stockings or this one. This one is definitely the funniest.

This is probably the most accurate: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11687398-garters

Faranae There's a special place in my heart for ridiculous romance novel covers. 1w
willaful @Faranae Ebooks have a lot to answer for.

That horse behind her is practically a unicorn...

Faranae @willaful E-books have their own style of ridiculous that just isn't the same, although Chuck Tingle gets points for exuberant use of stock photo models with photoshop. He's got his own genre of book cover right there. 😂 1w

Alternate cover. 😁

One of those Big Smile books. Dirt poor Esme Crabbe sets her sights on town storekeeper Cleavis and through a combination of sheer persistence and a timely leg flash wins his heart. But can he ever be happy with a woman who's not a proper lady? Yes, absolutely! The small town Americana setting and Cleav's scientific interests are lovingly detailed and absurd situations keep you laughing despite second hand embarrassment.

willaful #PromptMaze Someone gets a fresh start.
