Here‘s to a brand new year of #BookSpinBingo. I didn‘t get as many done last year as I wanted, but I had fun trying. Looking forward to what the new year brings.

This was a very OK book for me. I like the author's writing style, but the story just wasn't fully grabbing my attention after a 1/4 in. It even featured a really unique magic system. I honestly had high hopes for this first read of 2025, so a little disappointed.
Cat is a home makeover show host who swoops in to save the Christmas Festival of Merry, CT after a devastating flood. Cat‘s expertise & her show‘s budget might be able to save it, but Noah, the town manager, is determined to protect his town from a reality TV invasion. Enemies-to-lovers with a Hallmark-movie-worthy holiday setting…though this story is too spicy to for Hallmark! Predictable, but also sweet, sentimental, and steamy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 ❤️📚
This was a fun one by Carlton. An invigorating read for the end of the year 😄
Starting this book tonight. I don't think I'll finish it by tomorrow, so it will be my first finished book of 2025.

This is a reread for me. I wanted to refresh my memory before I watch the movie adaptation on Passion Flix. Enjoyed it just as much the second time around. 4.5 ⭐

The audiobook was excellent. A bit dark for my regular fare but really good
I stayed with this book for the entertainment, and the story was fun! I liked the growth but really disliked the characters‘ beliefs and the stupid writing of an accent — A PET PEEVE! It sounded like Caleb was a pirate more than anything. Overall, still a fun read + just what you expect. No depth here
I am not in the majority on liking this book, yes it was a creative magic system but honestly too much , there was a whole slew of horrible themes, colonialism, racism, misogyny, and yes it‘s a reflection of society good and evil. But most of the plot except for the last few chapters is heavy, forced dialogue it was repetitive and I found myself skimming.
