Starting The Widow by Fiona Barton for #mamasbookclub over on Instagram. I don't tend to read thrillers or mysteries (I'm not sure what category this book falls into 😅) despite liking a good mystery so I'll see how this one goes 🤞

⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 The Widow is not a thriller. And it is slightly predictable, but not completely. There could have been a few ways to end the story. Jean Taylor is a strange woman and I did find the characters to be a little flat. But with that said I didn't hate it. The plot moves at a steady pace, jumping POVs between characters. It held my interest enough to want to know how it ended. If asked I would probably shrug and say, "it was aight." #thewidow

Spent a long weekend in my happy place. I downloaded my first audiobook off #overdrive for the ride to the mountains!!! It took me a bit to get settled into the story, but I couldn't wait to put it on for the ride home!! #thewidow #audiobook #adirondacks #wishicouldlivethere
