No. Just no. I want to throw the book across the room, but it‘s a library book, so I‘ll treat it with reverence. I‘ve never wanted to smother a character more than Grace. I was hoping she would meet a violent death.

3-2-25: My 16th finished book of 2025!Becker, a curator at Fairburn House, has loved the works of artist Vanessa Chapman since he was a young boy.Once she passed she left all of her art to the House and he is now in charge. When showing a sculpture containing a mysterious bone gets flagged by an anthropologist,Becker must venture to Chapman‘s home/studio on Eris Island. That‘s where he meets Vanessa‘s friend and protector Grace. Good except the end.
After finishing throne of glass and not really enjoying it (too many huge battle scenes saved at the last minute), I wanted something completely different... so picked up a Chattam book, this one is more horror and supernatural than expected, full of Stephen King and HP Lovecraft references.
What a crazy story in the best way. The fact that it was loosely based on a true story had me down the rabbit hole for all the details. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Forty-something single mother, Casey Singleton, works at Norton Aircraft & when a report comes in of an issue with flight TPA 545, Casey is on the team asked to investigate. An initial contact with the pilot has him blaming turbulence but this isn't backed up by external evidence, & the flight crew are suddenly whisked away before Casey has a chance to conduct interviews. Just arrived today 😍 my toxic trait is immediately wanting to abandon my current read for these. One book at a time I guess *kicks wall*
I couldn‘t resist! The book was a poetry collection by a new-to-me author, Thomas Curtis Clark.
Great storyline. Multiple narrators on the audio that were all really easy to follow. I appreciate how Baldacci‘s characters are so clear and separate from one another. While this is the third in the series, he gives you enough backstory to catch on without so much that you get bored. This character, Travis Devine, is one of our favorites. Flawed, realistic, and driven.
Knocked off several #OffTheShelf2025
