Making up for yesterday's #day8 of #readjanuary. Uncle Stevie has a penchant for #TitlesWithAProperName. 😁

RealLifeReading Haha that's true! 7y
EricQiao Read at least a dozen uncle Stevie's and my favorite is On Writing: Memoir of the Craft. So inspiring! 7y
AGirlAndHerBooks @EricQiao one of my faves of his! He made a "how to" on writing just as engaging as one of his fictional stories. And, yes, incredibly inspiring! 7y

When I went looking for #titleswithapropername for today's #readjanuary prompt, I discovered some of my favorites fell neatly into line. Ava Lavender is still one of my favorite books of all time. Eva Luna is (maybe) my favorite Allende title, and Haroun is an often overlooked Rushdie masterpiece. *stands back and looks at books* I very definitely have a "type," don't I...

elkeOriginal I LOVE Eva Lavender!! 7y
aeeklund @elkeo IT'S SO GOOD!!! 7y
monalyisha Eva Luna might be my favorite Allende, too! 💖 6y

I took a better picture, but honestly, Theo's tail cracked me up. 😂🙄😂
They can be sound asleep and you go to do anything, there they are...but try to take their picture...
#catsoflitsy just passing through. 😊

MMenefee 😹 7y
ErickaS_Flyleafunfurled And sometimes the tail gets dragged right under your nose when you're trying to take a picture, right?!😂 7y
Suzze Theo is the best! And by the looks of it, fastest! 7y

Bette @EricaS_Flyleafunfurled omg, it's like they don't even realize they have tails...they are everywhere and get in everything! 😂 7y
Bette @Suzze Theo has become my buddy alright. He taps me with his paw very delicately if he wants to see something closer...what a goon. 😊 7y
MyNamesParadise I'm almost done with Dear Amy! 7y
Bette @Mynamesparadise How is it? I was excited to read it, and then it got moved further down the stack. 7y
MyNamesParadise @Bette it's really good! I gave to admit it's taken me a while to get through it but it's bc of my lack of focus rather than the book! And In the latter half it really picks up!! 7y
Bette @Mynamesparadise Oh, good. I should probably move it up. Thanks! 7y
LeahBergen Love his tail! 😂 7y

I've always loved these surreal drawings of Leonor Fini. While I've shown a rather "pretty" one, her work is not for the faint-of-heart; it can be disturbingly erotique, with women in open corsets and men in decorative cod pieces. Her figures are always as beautifully drawn as they are theatrically costumed-- like from a backstage seamstress' wet dream. #titleswithapropername

LeahBergen This review ... sublime! 7y
