#LittensLoveSJM #ToG #EoS Ch.37-45: it‘s a good thing a big portion of these chapters was spent on a boat because I am shipping these characters hard…ok that was lame, but it does seem to be getting coupley - we have Aedion saying he‘s going to marry Lysandra, Dorian jumping in the water to save Manon, the flame-worthy scene on the beach with Rowan and Aelin🔥and Elise and Lorcan finally telling each other the truth. ⬇️

StayCurious SJM was working her Cupid‘s bow for sure. I enjoyed these chapters and found them a good mix of action and intrigue. I found it funny how irritated Aelin was with Elena (she was downright rude to a ghost haha) 22h

5feet.of.fury Lol ugh Aelin pissed me off at the beginning of this section “yeah, so some people died, I‘ll make sure their families are compensated”, Lysandra almost gets filleted and then she just goes and has sex with Rowan 3x and Rolfe is the only person to try to call her out 👎🏼 terrible 22h

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG #EoS Ch.28-36: Some more intense chapters that show that no matter how dumb it may be, Aelin always does have a plan. Why she is so selective about who she shares info with - I guess it comes down to her upbringing and to her being used to working alone. But I‘m sure her court will get annoyed with being left out of the equation at some point. A lot happened in these 10 chapters ⬇️

StayCurious I was glad to have read the prequel stories bc we got a bit more context for some of her dealings with Rolfe and with the mention of Briarcliffe and the Red Desert. Aelin sure has a lot of life debts owed to her. She‘s going to need to call in every favour she can before the end. 1w

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG #EoS ch.19-27: I love how cocky Aelin was when meeting Rolfe again. Boy, was he pissed😝 I like that Rowan is training Dorian. I‘m sad that he seems to know the war effort is hopeless (at least as it stands now). I fear for Manon - she‘s injured and on the run. Where did her 13 end up? Will her grandmother hunt her? Elide and Lorcan are an interesting pair. How long will they stay together on their journey? ⬇️

mcctrish I just realized I‘m reading 10 chapters at a go but that is the wrong number 🤦🏻‍♀️😆 I actually think it‘s interesting how SJM paired up the characters this time around - I‘m shipping Lorcan and Elide together - he needs bossing around imo. I am worried about Manon. Chaol learning to walk again doesn‘t seem like enough to fill a book 😆😆 2w

LiseWorks I also like the pairing. I think Manon is brave. I'm hoping Dorian finds and helps her. 2w

The consequences of this revelation are far-reaching, not just for Manon, but for everyone in her 13 and the witch world. What will Manon and the 13 do with this info? Then we have more ancient Fae ghosts giving more cryptic commands - and Aelin squares off against Erawan. It does not go well - and scares her⬇️

StayCurious It must be difficult to know you‘re in a war that can‘t possibly be won - just like Elena was. And Dorian has lost his kingdom so that‘s one ally down. Things are starting to look bleak for our Queen. 3w

Originally we were going to read Tower of Dawn first b/c a few sources online mentioned it would be a more emotional way to go into the final book of the series. I‘ve changed my mind and decided we will read in publication order -which means Empire of Storms first. We will start in December, reading 9 chapters a week, first check in December 8. #LittensLoveSJM #ToG #EoS Ch.1-9: And we‘re right back into the story - I love it. By this book, SJM knows who her audience is, she knows we‘ve been on this journey with her so far, we don‘t need boring long expositions- we‘re ready to get back in with our characters. It starts off interesting and stays that way - so far. ⬇️

StayCurious Some of my takeaways- Manon is starting to really come into her own. It was interesting to see Elide described as “demon possessed”. Vernon is a weasel. Funny that Erowan took on a new, handsome, athletic body. Although- wouldn‘t you? I love how loyal the members of Aelin‘s court are. Were we really thinking she‘d be welcomed back onto her throne with open arms? Yes, I kinda was. I hate old power grubbing men ⬇️ 1mo

StayCurious Telling her to make herself useful by getting married🙄the nerve! I‘m all about Rowan and Aelin now (something I never thought I‘d say given how much of a jerk he started out as)…them being separated is never a good thing…I‘ve rambled on long enough and barely touched the surface - a lots going on. BarkingMadRead I don‘t like that Rowan left, it worries me. I was so excited that Manon is becoming so sure of herself. I was so shocked that Aelin wasn‘t welcomed back, with everyone we‘ve met already calling her Queen. I‘m hoping Elide is ok, this demon thing worries me! 1mo

mcctrish Since I couldn‘t get my copy from the library like I wanted, I bought one off of FB marketplace& then started decorating for Christmas & forgot all about reading 🤦🏻‍♀️ Manon for sure has a plan with her 13 that we will be informed of when it‘s convenient, last time Rowan left shit hit the fan so I‘m hoping him rescuing Dorian isn‘t a repeat performance! I want Elide to be safe. Old power hungry men are becoming a hard pass & same old conflict 4w

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.81-end /review - wow a lot happened in this book, and in these last few chapters! Aelin and her court, have returned to Terrasen. They have their work cut out for them fighting for what is hers. The king of Adarlan is dead - or so they believe. I want to see a body before I make up my mind. Dorian is now King and has been left in Adarlan. I worry about how he‘ll get on by himself. ⬇️

StayCurious Chaol and Nesryn are off on their own adventure to heal Chaol‘s legs. I like him a bit better now but do we think he really needs his own book? Meh. I want - as always - more witches. How will Manon go forward? Will she disobey her grandmother? Try to over turn her? I‘m most interested in her story. 1mo

BarkingMadRead I‘m obsessed with Manon, I hope we get plenty of her in future! 1mo

StayCurious Overall I enjoyed this book most so far out of the series. It solved some things but left so many things up in the air that I‘m looking forward to the next instalment. 1mo

Littlewolf1 @5feet.of.fury I completely agree. When Rowan shows up and she runs into his arms… It was perfect. The fact that Dorian is able to get free and then Manon shows up is even better. 1mo

#LittensLoveSJM #ToG Queen of Shadows Ch.71-80: Hold on…trying to catch my breath. What a whirlwind few chapters! Hands down - best part was Lysandra kicking ass as a ghost leopard. Question: do we really believe the King was mostly innocent in all his crimes? That he was just a pawn? Do we think he‘s really dead? I guess they have to go after Perrington now. I‘m very interested in how things will be now that magic has returned.
