I feared this would happen, that either Wood or Marsons would be on the list twice. At least this is another series, so it doesn‘t really count, does it? Anyway, one of the best series and authors ever ❤️ #12BooksOf2025

I am a long-time fan of Wendy Walker, and I‘ve enjoyed every one of her books, and this one is no exception. Though the plot is complex, I followed it easily, which is significant given that I usually struggle with intricate narratives.
🎙️The narration was top-notch, although the music in the background could‘ve been a little more subdued.

This is good if you like a few twists and turns and a thick plot

Nine beautiful years!! 🥳 Happy Thanksgiving, y‘all!

3.5 Stars • Gravewater Lake by A.M. Strong and Sonya Sargent (2025) is a psychological thriller. Anna washes up on Gravewater Lake's shore during a blizzard. She is injured and has amnesia. Rescued by Gregg, she‘s trapped in his isolated house as eerie noises and fragmented memories fuel paranoia. Is Gregg her savior or captor? Very Hitchcockian with twists that unravel secrets in this tense, tale of trust and deception.

I'm in the minority on this one. I did not understand the hype. The characters were one dimensional. The pacing was very slow. Some parts took forever, and others were rushed. From beginning to end, it was predictable. I think this would be a good book for someone getting into reading thrillers. Unfortunately, I didn't end up liking this one. 2/5

I loved this book and read it in one sitting. Halston is a 22 year old woman who gets caught in a gambling scam and gets recruited to help steal a Picasso. All is not as it seems though, and there are so many red herrings that it made my head swivel. Fun read for the end of summer.

I loved the first book in this series, but it feels like it‘s getting a bit tired now.
