This is from The Phantom Prince, written by Elizabeth Kendall, who was in a long term relationship with Ted Bundy during his murder spree. I can't stop reading! This sentence literally gave me chills.

All the 🌟! All of them! I love Busy so you could say I'm biased but this book is the best celebrity memoir I've ever read. She name drops and spills all the dirt. It's refreshing and empowered. I can't say enough good things about this book! #bookworm #bibliophile #memoirs #fallreads

I want to recommend this book to everyone my age and older who grew up playing outside unsupervised and fearless. We are now raising our own kids in a world full of unwarranted fear and we face so much judgment against our choices for OUR families. This book puts a lot of things into perspective. If you never read another book on parenting (I probably won't!), let this one be it.

I love October and Halloween but surprisingly, I don't recall ever having read a horror book. Has anyone read this one? #OctoberReads #Horror #FallReads #bookworm #bibliophile 🏚️⚰️

Fortifiedbybooks I'm glad I read it so I know what it's all about, but it was disappointing. It's not great writing and there are too many exclamation points so it was difficult to get drawn into the story and then stay immersed for any amount of time. I also did some research after I finished and the story is more than likely a hoax, though the author was supposedly not in on it. All of that said, if it's your 1st horror book, you might enjoy it more than I did. 6y
AndLamb83 @Fortifiedbybooks oh no! At least it's short. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Do you have any truly scary book recommendations for me? 6y
Fortifiedbybooks @AndLamb83 you can never go wrong with Stephen King. My fave is Needful Things. The Shining has a really scary couple of scenes in it that made me put it in the freezer before I went to bed. I really enjoyed Cujo, though that was more suspenseful than scary. I'm about 2/3 through 'Salem's Lot and I love it so far. Wendy's Button Box was also good and it's really short compared to most of his other books. 6y
AndLamb83 @Fortifiedbybooks haven't read any King books yet. 6y

This book was incredible! It's a memoir about growing up in a Mormon polygamist cult. It's raw and heartbreaking and impossible to put down! I highly recommend this one! #bookworm #bibliophile #fallreads #libby #kindleoasis #ebook

This was an ARC review. I really enjoyed the plot. I wanted to keep reading to see if all my theories were right. (They weren't!) The only thing I didn't really like about the book were the characters. The three main characters seemed juvenile. Their dialogue read like women much younger than 40, but don't let that deter you. It's still definitely worth a read if you enjoy a good thriller and more than one POV. #Netgalley #ARC #GirlsNightOut

I know I'm in the minority but this book was pretty blah to me. The writing wasn't gripping. The characters weren't likable. It took me a long time to finish it. I wouldn't recommend this one.

I'm so torn on this book because I love the story but I feel like I'm reading fiction because parts of it are so outrageous. Maybe I'm just a cynic. Regardless, it's worth a read.

I loved this book! It's one of the better thrillers that I've read in awhile. Reese Witherspoon knows how to pick a book. I won't spoil it for you, but look at the person you love the most. Are they who you think they are? 🤔

I was around 10 years old when apartheid ended in South Africa. We didn't learn about it in school so while I was aware of it, I wasn't well versed in specifics. Let's be real, at that age I wasn't going to read about a radical government takeover when Babysitters Club books existed anyway. This book has caused me to spend countless amounts of time researching Soweto and the Zulu and Xhosa tribes. I loved it! All the 🌟s for this gem! #SummerReads

👍🏼👍🏼 Every Overdrive loan that I had requested showed up at the same time so I've been on a reading frenzy, but I wanted to drop this title here. I really loved this book! Check it out if you want a different kind of mystery, a story of friendship and overcoming.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! Jenny Lawson is brilliant and from all accounts I've heard that this isn't even her best book? I rarely laugh out loud when reading but this book changed that. I can't wait to read Furiously Happy now. If you suffer from anxiety, do yourself a favor and read this book and promptly add The Bloggess on all social media. #TheBloggess #JennyLawson #SummerReads #Bookworm #Bibliophile

Breaking in my new #KindleOasis with Friend Request to hop off the memoir train I've been on. I've heard good and bad things about this book. I'm almost to the halfway point and it's slow at times but still keeping my attention. I imagine something big will come to a head eventually. Have you read it? This was a #NetGalley ARC. Crave is based on the life of Christine O'Brien as she grows up with a famous, angry father and a mother who strives for control by forcing an extreme diet on her family. It has lasting effects, positive and negative, on the author and her three siblings. I found the authors life to be very exotic and interesting, so much different than the way most people live. This is a good read for memoir fans.

This is a #NetGalley review. I'm a memoir addict and when the content focuses on dysfunctional families, even better! I enjoyed this book a lot. The only thing I didn't like was the disjointed style of small blurbs relating to particular words of any given alphabet letter. It made it hard to follow at times and would have been better in essay style. I would still recommend this one though. 👍🏼👍🏼

I kept hearing rave reviews on this book so I requested it on Netgalley and got on the Overdrive waiting list. It wasn't worth it. This book is one long brag session. It's interspersed with good advice in a likable prose, but she doesn't go more than a few pages without bragging about how she started a multimillion dollar business ON HER OWN. 😱 She also needs you to know constantly that she's a workaholic and a marathon runner. It wasn't for me.

britt_brooke I‘m torn in this one. She has some great things to say, but humble she is not. (edited) 6y
AndLamb83 @britt_brooke exactly! She has this amazing platform where she can motivate so many women but she's missing the mark. She's too busy talking about all of her accomplishments. 6y

This book was a Little Free Library find. I'm really enjoying it so far. It's narrated in the voice of an 11 year old named Shenandoah. Her mother has been missing for a year, her twin sister went mute, and her father is abusive. Shenendoah is the glue trying to hold everything together. There are a lot of outside dynamics at play, which make this book a page turner. #WeekendReads #Bookworm #Bibliophile #SummerReads

I wanted to love this because it's described as being comparable to an Augusten Burroughs or David Sedaris book, but it's not. There are some humorous essays, but a chunk are just the author reminiscing on porn nostalgia throughout his life. It was a quick read though, so there's that. Side note: if you read this and aren't kind of disturbed by his deceased father, you're a stronger person than I. 🤷🏼‍♀️ #NetGalley #ARC

The paragraph that nailed the coffin closed on this book for me. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I'm not the intended audience but that's my bad because I requested the ARC thinking it was a different book. Unless you're into risqué teen novels, this book probably isn't for you.

Wow. So, this is a #NetGalley ARC of Baby Teeth. The book is an emotional roller coaster throughout and then it ends so vaguely? It's begging for a sequel. This book will make you mad, sad, and so glad your child is sane. It's also skin-crawling creepy at times and made me want to stop reading. I'm giving it 3.5 stars because the characters were horrible and I didn't like the ending even a little, but all in all, not bad and some will love it.

Thanks to Netgalley for another excellent read from Caroline Kepnes! This book is not like her previous novels, You and Hidden Bodies. While there is no Joe Goldberg (or any likable protagonist) to captivate you, the writing style is spot on Kepnes. It's a mixture of thriller, sci-fi, and YA. Read it. Love it. #CarolineKepnes #WeekendReads #NetGalley #ARC #Bookworm #Bibliophile #IAmProvidence

This is my first #NetGalley review. I'm sure this book will appeal to a lot of readers but it wasn't for me. I couldn't connect with any of the characters, especially the protagonist. Ruby (Ruth) is a very bland character. I couldn't even conjure up an image in my mind for her. Although the prose flows well, the story jumps all over the place and it's hard to remain focused. Overall, I have to give it 🌟🌟.
