I wanted to capture the two different POVs and include all the bright pride colors from the cover I had, so I did only warm tones on my left for Jude and cool tones on my right for Noah.

I appreciate the effort the author put into researching genderfluidity and lgbt issues, but the actual plot and characters come off as framing devices for a novel length essay. Points for trying but I think there's plenty of room for better representation of genderfluidity in contemporary fiction.

This book has so many storytelling conventions that I love (different times, overlapping events, split perspective)... I loved it!!

Well, that was the best video game I ever read!

What a great start to the arc! I love all the new POV characters~ My one grievance is that I wish more minor characters died; it's hard to take the harsh winter and lack of food seriously as a threat when the only consequence is that the Clans are a little hungrier than usual. Can't wait for The Silent The!

My main thought reading this book was "Sure, why not?" It throws everything at the wall hoping something will stick, resulting in an absolute mess... But sometimes messes are fun. I recommend it if you're looking for quick, cheesy entertainment. It wasn't a good book, but it definitely wasn't boring!

Time for a #booklook for one of my favorite series! I based this look on Violetpaw. Since her name is VIOLETpaw, I used different shades of purple, and because she is a black and white cat I made it light in the middle and darker at the edges. This is a more subtle look since I used Black Heart's Pastel Dreams palette but I think that suits the introverted character.

I enjoyed the story and characters, but I think there were some instances of stereotypes and tone-deafness on the part of the author that held it back from being a favorite.

Torn between pick or so-so... it was a good book but it moved veeeeeerrrrrrry slow. I'd recommend it to kids and patient readers because I do think the messages are good, but readers more suited to action fantasy might get bored.

This week's #booklook is for The Girl Who Drank The Moon! Luna's magic is described as blue with silver edges, so I broke out the Black Heart Midnight Magic palette and the Nyx Smokey Eye palette to do something similar. Decided to forego eyeliner this time and drew on wings with dark blue shadow instead!

I used Blackheart's Midnight Magic palette to try to give myself a look similar to the dragons in this book: blue (everlasting) on the lid, blended upward with green (ignite) and some dark violet (mystic) on the outer corner.

I really don't know how to put this. I REALLY enjoyed the plot, but the characters were kind of flat and the first bit was kind of a doozy to get through (the book starts with Dragon Bible Genesis, I kid you not). Maybe if it was aimed at a slightly more mature audience...? Give it a chance if you like mysteries and overlapping stories, but take it with a grain of salt.

Sadly Litsy doesn't have this short story in its archive, because it's very good! If I could review it, it would definitely be a Pick. Dragons, world building, magic, witty writing, and gals who love gals. What more could you want? Can't recommend Dragonsong by Audrey Rose B enough! ♡

Nothing against d'Lacey as a person, but I've always found his subjects... weird. I'll give this a fair chance, though!

While it's nice that some scenes/characters are expanded on, the novelizations of this series as a whole are sloppy and not descriptive at all. You'd do just as well to look up scripts for the games--or better yet, play them (and if you can't, there are lots of good let's play series out there). Don't let the books be your intro or only experience with this franchise!! #KingdomHearts #novelization
