“While other girls were out with boyfriends on Sunday afternoons, getting their necks disfigured by love bites...”

“When other girls of my age were attending the Isle of Wight Festival and having abortions...”

The older I get the more I hate statements like these. It made me want to throw the book. I get she‘s trying to make a point and be funny but it comes off really poorly.

I don‘t know how to feel about this one. The beginning was very good if tragic. There were a few interesting bits at the middle and end but it was many times a slog to read. At times it felt condescending and character motivations were all over the place.

I‘m really glad that the movie cut the reveal of how Danny is connected to Abra. It feels unnecessary. Also, I‘m glad that they edited down trying to convince her parents and made them much cooler and less shrill than in the book.

I‘m flying through this one pretty quickly. I haven‘t read Stephen King in about a decade but this reminds me why I used to read his books.

“You really don‘t know anything about women do you?” Is what I want to say to Patrick Rothfuss. Denna is not like the other girls, and women hate her because men are attracted to her... ugh what era was this written in?

blurb

It‘s clear that everyone really loved the book The Princess Bride. I actually didn‘t care for the book but I love the movie.

“few weeks passed. And then I received an interesting e-mail from Max Moseley”

Punctuation and grammar is as it is in the book. It bugs me a bit. This is the second time a paragraph has started with a lowercase letter. Maybe it‘s because I‘m reading an ebook.

Betterthanasharpstickintheeye Oops, it does appear to be because of the book‘s format because there‘s a random capitalized A on the next page. 6y

Wow, this is interesting and a bit uncomfortable to read about. There have been times I‘ve felt sorry for people who have been shamed and others times I felt that they should have been shamed more.

I liked this one better than the last one of hers I read. I felt that in the previous book the personal issues could have been trimmed down to better serve the plot. This one also has a lot of the relationships but it makes more sense in this context given they are going to the wedding of a friend.

I didn‘t want to read this book for a long time because it‘s the last. It brought me to tears very early on. This book was really good and it felt like a closed circle on the series.

I adore this series and I finish the books so quickly. It makes me sad the next book seems to be about different characters but the main characters in this series do have a satisfying conclusion.

I do like her books but this one reminded me of why I took a long break from reading this series. Over 70% on characters issues that we have had many books to get to know and very little was left for the plot. I was interested in the Irish storyline and it just felt like that didn‘t really get a proper ending.

Currently reading it. It took me a long time to start it because once it's done, there are no more books of his. I'm 18% into the book and I'm fending off tears while I'm at work.

Really wanted to love this because of the concept and author... But it was a slog to finish. I loved the food descriptions and a part of the ending made me cry but the plot dragged and many of the characters were one note.

I just got my first owlcrate. It is Wonderland themed. It included a copy of Heartless which I've been wanting to read. I'm also really into Westworld right now and that show uses a lot of Alice in Wonderland imagery. #owlcrate #westworld
