Jane eyre was a tranquil and beautiful book to read; I found myself transported to a much more simple era but could readily relate to the emotions experienced by the narrator. Whilst incredibly progressive for its time, it was fascinating to learn about the expectations of women wrt marriage. I was not entirely satisfied with the ending, but overall really enjoyed reading this story. A romantic novel with a strong female lead.

I genuinely think this book has changed my life. It has made me question my opinions and has given me a better understanding of the differences in human culture. I‘ve recommended it to anyone who will listen to me, absolutely incredible read.

I found the story and narrative of the characters very relatable, which made the story highly engaging - I finished it in two days! It actually reminded me of One Day by David Nicholls. The style of writing was clever and varied without being pretentious. I love stories about ordinary people and how one person can have a significant impact on your life.
