This was a fun ending to the Ruinous Love Trilogy. I wasn't expecting it to be as long as it was narratively but it was still good. Although I could have done without the call back to how the author ruined ice cream in the epilogue lol

This was much better than I thought it was going to be. I actually laughed out loud (the Barbara clinic scene) in front of the #manpanion, my sister & her husband (they were watching the football draft so I was reading). I liked the crocheting in it & here‘s another square for my #readingblanket
As another said, it got repetitive & I did skim a little at times.
I have no desire to read the first 2 books, but this one was a pleasant surprise.

Finished on audio a couple of weeks ago & forgot to post my review. Out of the trilogy, this one was my favorite. Although dark, it didn‘t seem like the author felt the need to be so extreme with the murdery or the sexy bits & for my ears, the narrator wasn‘t giggling every 2.5 seconds. Plus I really like Rose & Fionn (sp?) individually & as a couple. I still think I‘m a little old for this series but I liked this one.
This is the 3rd book in the Ruinous Love trilogy. It was fantastic. Warnings galore, so keep that in mind.
In this book, Rose, a circus performer, gets hurt trying to murder someone and gets help (lots of help) from the lonely, cute Doctor Fionn Kane. Sparks and blood fly 🧡

This one is definitely darker, but I was fully prepared for that. It was laugh out loud funny in places (I was trying so hard not to wake the neighbours with my head under a pillow laughing SO hard at the dragon costume, but mostly the poster plant). It had some really hard parts to read, but it wasn‘t necessarily the dark parts I found hard to read (I‘d guessed at least some of them).

3rd book in the trilogy and it did not disappoint. Liked getting to know Rose and Fionn better, and have to admit I appreciated the fact that this installment seemed to go a little lighter on the gratuitous sex and gore. #audiobook
And it‘s only Wednesday. It‘s fine.

Come on, Fionn. Let‘s hear it!

To really understand this book, you will have to have read the first two. It was a good third installment of the series!
3.75⭐
•Guess what, still a sucker for some duet narration. There was nothing earth-shattering here but still an entertaining listen. Although I wasn‘t sold on the heroine as a serial killer, she botches things up so much that I‘m not sure how she isn‘t in jail or worse.
Overall, this was a fun read. I definitely liked it better than the second one, and would put it on par with the first one. More murder mayhem, very wild sex scenes and comedy. If you like horror and steamy romance, you may just enjoy this series. 4⭐️
The final book of an interesting series. B&B was the best in terms of suspense and gore, the last two were okay but def not as interesting. And way more sappy. I wasn‘t expecting how puppy dog love sick these men were, the women were darker and more badass. (Maybe that was the whole point!!) Book #17 in 2025
I feel like I might have loved this more if I‘d read it as a stand-alone — it doesn‘t quite have the depth, the resonance of the first two books. That being said, it‘s an entertaining read, a sweet romance (possible overuse of the only-one-bed trope), and as always, Weaver makes you laugh at some appalling things. Raccoons don‘t make good pets, people. 😂 I enjoyed this for what it was, a fluffy good time. Soft pick.
Loved the conclusion to this trilogy. This was my favorite couple yet!
Book 9 of 2025
I love the wildness that is Brynne Weaver. While this is not my favourite of the trilogy (it‘s hard to top what happened in B&B), this one had moments of epic comedy gold, so inappropriate that you‘re amazed you‘re laughing. I think what confused me about this book was that it‘s really a tandem read with the other two. Because of that, it shifts and jumps timelines, and it didn‘t quite feel like JUST Rose and Fionn‘s story.

You‘ve been stickered. You‘re part of the sticker-bitch crew now. Count yourself lucky she didn‘t put them on your tits.” I look down. “She‘d have to find them first.” Lark snorts. “Shut up. You‘ve got great tits. All perky and shit. Great nips. Advantage of an optional bra and they don‘t smack you around. Small is sexy.” “Lark is like a tit sommelier. Trust her judgment,” Sloane says,
I listened to this one. (I preordered it a while back.) I am obsessed with the male voices! Oooo! 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This hit slightly differently from the first two. Not in a bad way, just different. Not as funny, but strangely wholesome or healing. Yes, I know that sounds weird for a 🌶️Dark RomCom.

YES! I can't believe I'm reading the final book in this trilogy! I'm so excited! So far I'm totally hooked! 💕📚
Muahaha my collection is almost complete!! So close to have all 3 BOTM editions of the ruinous love trilogy by Brynne Weaver. I also have the audio on preorder which is probably going to be my most anticipated read for February.
For the main book of this box I was a little undecided between First Time Caller and Famous Last Words. A lot of good choices for this month‘s box. 📞 🎪
