Cute short story, novella, so it didn‘t give a lot to go off of. Romance was too quick, barely any time to get to know each other. I get it‘s a novella, but they still needed more time. Likely would‘ve liked it more if it was longer and gave more fleshing out. Though I did like this guy; Ali knows how to get these men sounding so great.

Started reading yesterday. Unfortunately had to stop due to a headache.
This is again easy fare. And I seem to be bingeing Ali Hazelwood books 😅

Hazelwood is who I think about for #Heartthrob. I‘ve read a few of these and they were “throbby”

🎧 The 3rd STEMinist novella was my least favorite.

3 scientist girlfriends, 3 fun stories.

This one involves Hannah, a NASA aerospace engineer who‘s M.O. is F ‘em & leave ‘em. No 2nd dates. She hasn‘t seen Ian in years & here he is poo poo-ing her expedition! She finds alternate funding & finds herself injured & trapped in a remote Arctic location. Alone. Then Ian shows up & saves her life. Now her heart is at risk.

Probably my least favourite of these three short stories, which is disappointing as it‘s the one I was looking forward to the most. Maybe that‘s why, my expectations were too high! It was still good fun, and a very cute romance. I do enjoy hazelwood‘s style of writing.

Third and final novella to read, I wish the first and second were full length books. Let see how this one goes!

This STEMinist novella is about how Hannah‘s sent to the Arctic for NASA research, where she runs into Ian. She hasn‘t seen him since their hookup after their interview years ago. He‘s also tried to veto her expedition. Why?

I liked the main characters in this one better than the other one. I didn‘t really like the time frames in this 1 as much as the other 1. I also liked how the other characters from the other novellas reunited at the end.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This third novella in Hazelwood‘s #STEMinist series was cute, smart, funny, and steamy like the others. Some reviewers have said it‘s too similar to its predecessors, but I say if it ain‘t broke, don‘t fix it. Tropes / formulas are not surprising in romance. Just do as I did, just space them out. Also, I‘m always down for a cute enemies-to-lovers story, misunderstandings and all. The nerdy stuff‘s a bonus! Hazelwood is a must-read for me.

Gah, I just love her books so much! For a novela titled Below Zero there's a whole lot of 🔥 plus the funny, whipsmart banter that I've come to expect from all of Hazelwood's characters. My only problem is that this is the last of the series 😭

A short read, a somewhat cute story with interesting STEM bits. Graphic steamy scenes I didn‘t care for much (some ridiculousness there, again) but would love to read more about Mars rovers.

This short story started out differently than the others. Definitely not slowburn.

Also the trope was differently than before: reserved woman meets reserved man. I think the main female character was even less approachable. That didn't make her less likeable. Though the story was short I got sufficient insight on her character, flaws and fears.

This is the 3rd in a trilogy of novellas featuring scientists. It‘s really cute and quite spicy-all three are. This one features the misunderstanding/miscommunication trope and had a back-and-forth timeline. I loved the ending. Great narration by Savannah Peachwood.

I‘ll be looking for Hazelwood‘s full length novellas now since I‘ve blown thru this trilogy in the last few days.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ I thought this was a pretty comprehensive story to be told as a novella - the audiobook was less than 4 hours long, but I felt like I knew the characters & understood their relationship. I liked following NASA engineers, even if that aspect wasn‘t super developed, and found the male main character particularly likable. It is quite spicy, which I wasn‘t expecting for such a short read, but it is balanced well with the rest of the book.

Called it! Midori sour reference at 25 minutes 😜 I was gonna make one myself but I was missing an ingredient. So here‘s my best David Rose “I knew it” face lol This one was a soft pick for me. #AwesomeAugust

I finished Novella 2 in the Loathe to Love You STEMinist series by Ali Hazelwood yesterday. Stuck With You was kinda meh to me. Starting the third one today. How much you wanna bet there is a Midori sour reference in this one too 😂🍸 #AwesomeAugust

Learning a new word...

A cute novella following The Love Hypothesis, I think. I cute little story of hate to love by the heroine. I love the STEM aspects of these stories, though they all seem a bit similar.

It was fun! Super short and about 20% more rated R than I expected. Barely any character development, but enough for it to be fun and significant to the reader that they get together. I just don‘t know how realistic sailing through the frozen fjords a massive storm is (Titanic??) but Ali Hazelwood writes hilariously, making her books/novellas great

Loved it! And now I know I love novellas--which can be read in one or two sittings. I also love these stories because they're not heavy, they have happy endings, and are just what I need during these crappy troubling times. It checks all my boxes , unauthorized rescue mission ✔ guarded/ highly relatable MC afraid to let people know them ✔ close friends and a satisfying career ✔ oh and let's not forget making out inside a space station 🙈✔

Not my favorite of hers but a quick and quirky distraction on #audio while walking. I liked the setting and set up, but the characters get her 3 novellas were just too similar to feel authentic. Not sure I would have stayed with it if reading.

Of the 3 novellas in this series I enjoyed this one the most.

The third novella of series of STEM rom-coms, features two NASA employees, a misunderstanding and Norway icy wastelands. This was also very cute and steamy. I really enjoyed all three of this series. They all work as standalones and are great on audiobook. 4⭐️

I've really enjoyed this series. Hazelwood played around with the order that all three stories were told both in present and past tense that I really enjoyed. I did find the Mars dirty talk in this one a little much, but I enjoyed it overall.

Read #3 before #2 and need to backtrack. Love seeing how the three girls friendships trump all and they each find their guy. Easy to envision all the smart characters in these open door S.T.E.M. novellas.

My second STEMinista novella after Under One Roof. This one suffers from the same weaknesses as the other I read: namely, it‘s too short to fully develop the plot or characters. Seems like an unfair criticism of a novella, but both of these would have been much more effective had the story/characters been fleshed out more. I was excited by the Arctic setting of this one only to be majorly disappointed that it was barely an interlude! 3.5 ⭐️

Another cute romance novella in the STEMinist series. I loved how grumpy Hannah was even if her reasons for being closed off were sad (if not terribly well explained). The story moved back and forth in time which also really added to the tension and excitement. And Mara and Sadie showed up! Great fun.

I was leaning really heavy on the audio this month, with everything but the comics being audio books. I need to actually finish a print book to help break the slump.

This was my least favorite of the three STEMinist novellas by Ali Hazelwood, but still a pick because it was a fun read and I did enjoy the NASA setting, bisexual heroine, and ginger love interest. I think I just read too many of hers back to back and the massive man/tiny lady dynamic got a little old. Also I think the pacing of this one was a little off. Still worth a listen—especially if you‘ve already listened to the other two!

Listen Hazelwood, you are already on thin ice for for me because of constant very tiny heroines and very big heroes that are always commented on. Especially in these novellas were space is a premium and that seems to be important. And l get preferences but.... 🤷‍♀️ I was excited for a red headed hero so I am giving some side eye but continuing.

I LOVED this! Plenty of rep and hot yet a “long“ waiting part.

This is the third (and assumed last) STEMinista novella from Ali Hazelwood where Hannah the aerospace engineer is rescued in Svalbard by someone who has tried keeping her from the mission. But why? ... I assume this is the last because at the end the three heroines from the novellas have a gathering.

I listened to the audio in the Volumes app, narrated by Savannah Peachwood. It comes out April 5.

It's a so-so because it's fine! Fluff. #romantsy
