⭐️⭐️• Cranky old lady vibezzz
⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Like any short story collection, some hits and misses. Note that this is a collection curated by Dahl, not written by him. The into he writes is great and points out that he feels that women make better ghost story writers.
⭐️⭐️ • I really wanted to like this but honestly it‘s not great and it doesn‘t make much sense. And the pace was slow and weird. Ironically, I think this story would have benefited from some serious editing.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Somehow I never read this as a child!
⭐️⭐️⭐️• Quick-paced meh and easy read to get you out of any slump. Read before watching the Apple TV+ series.
⭐️⭐️• This put me in a serious reading slump. Beautifully written, but didn‘t hold my attention.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • People hating on this, get a life. Yeah sure it‘s got cringy parts, but it‘s his story. Also prince william is…garbage.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️• Somehow supremely cheesy and darling and sexy, all at the same time.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ½ • Fun fact: I live in the small suburb just north of Seattle that Octavia Butler lived and died in. My local bookstore was her local bookstore!
⭐️⭐️⭐️ • The usual TJR, readable meh. Read before the Prime series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • Read before seeing the play adaptation at Seattle Rep
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ • I wish I read this in an academic setting. So excited to see it translated to screen!
