This was well researched look at the American foster care system. It emotionally wrecked me, but it was important for me to read.

My 2025 reading wrap-up. I‘m still working on my faves for the year. Also looking forward to participating on here.

This was the May book club selection at a local bookstore. I never would have bought this book if it wasn't for the book club. I was surprised how much I loved it! Princess Donut is an amazing character.
This book was funny. It also gave me some insight into how RPGs are played. I probably won't read the rest of the series; as the mystery cool reader said-"| enjoyed it and I don't need to know more. I'm just happy that I got to read a book. "

“Only in a time-locked building like the Woodbine Crown Mall would you see a HELP NEEDED sign in a shop window.”

I loved this book! I was expecting more shark, but what I wasn't expecting delivered much more than I could have imagined. The real monsters were the humans. They all had traits that could make them unlikable but this made them realistic. I was cheering for the shark the whole time! Peter Benchley wrote an immersive tale that made the humans actions and inactions just as devastating as the sharks actions.

Last night I had a dream that @basecampbooksandadventure, a wonderful indie bookstore, only sold Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss. You could pick a book of your choice and that was the book you bought. But when you exited the store every book you bought turned into Green Eggs and Ham.

I thought this would be funny or that it would give a new look at the villains. I was wrong. The MC makes the oddest choices and the way she infiltrates the support group might be the most unbelievable thing l've ever read. The characters were one dimensional and were all the same. There wasn't a single moment I found intriguing.
