Really liked the characters, setting, plot, and twists. A book my son will enjoy when he's a little older!

Bailedbailed

I wanted to like it, but a minor character cusses a lot just to prove she's a rebel, and I feel like that's lazy writing.

readinginthedark I think if she did it with all of the characters, it would be lazy, but some high schoolers do that. You know, small rebellions and such. 7y
Laura317 I dislike swear words, but if it is used sparingly and as part of the character, I can take it. 7y
SandraPeoples @Laura317 This was practically every time the character spoke. Too much for me. 7y

Love Anna Kendrick and enjoyed the book, but felt like the last few chapters didn't flow well with the rest of the book. Almost like bonus content. But still good!

Enjoyed this sweet and sad story (it's sad from the beginning—that's not a spoiler). The setting is a book store and it's full of characters in the book industry and regular readers (some reluctant).

I enjoyed this quick read! A look at Lecrae's life and the decisions he made to get to where he is. His recent evolution to talk about theology less in his music was especially interesting.

Laura317 This was a good read! My daughter is a huge fan of his music, too. 7y

So many characters and dysfunction and I only like Bea so far (half way through). I'm going to skip to the end.

Laura317 I bailed on it, too. I felt the same exact way. 7y
christineandbooks I stuck with it all the way through but I am realizing that I don't love dysfunctional family stories. I liked Commonwealth better because I felt like the characters were a little more likeable than in The Nest. 7y

"Beds empty! No note! Car gone ... could have crashed ... out of my mind with worry ... did you care? never, as long as I've live ... you wait until your father gets home, we never had trouble like this from Bill or Charlie or Percy ..." Happy late birthday to Molly Weasley!

saresmoore Molly Weasley is my absolute favorite. My husband and I dressed as Harry and Ginny for Halloween (we have that look about us), but I will always be Molly in my heart! 7y

The enneagram has been such a helpful tool over the last couple years and this book is great for those who are unfamiliar with the personality typing and for those know some but want to learn more. (I'm a 1 and my husband is a 3, so we get things done!)

saresmoore Thank you for reviewing this! I'm a Myers-Briggs junkie, but I believe the Enneagram has much more potential for depth and nuance. 7y
