I was watching Eric, his golden hair falling forward as he looked down at the rapidly disintegrating remains of the self-styled Prince of Darkness. The thousand years of his life sat on him heavily, and for a second I saw every one of them. Then, by degrees, his face lightened, and when he looked up at me, it was with the expectancy of a child on Christmas Eve. “Maybe next year,” he said. #ATouchOfDead #CharlaineHarris

Sometimes you need a mindless hot vampire read (or 2 or 13) to clear the palette...

Fifth Finish for #24in48. I only had one of the short stories remaining to read in this collection. I have been doing a lot of clean up of my currently reading stack during this readathon and am loving it!

This was a decent little collection of the inbetweens in the Sookie Stackhouse world. Nothing earth shattering but nice little stories.

A stroll through Bon Temps made for a perfect inflight distraction. It was nice being able to put it aside after each story as I held a baby for 14hrs crossing the Pacific. Now I can't stop thinking about warm-bodied werewolves 💘 #mommyreads #inflight #guiltypleasures #shortstories
