Another good read by King. Towards the end I kept screaming at the characters in my head when certain things would happen. ‘If you would have locked the door and brought you kid in sooner‘ or ‘if you have just taken the help offered and confessed‘ or ‘if you would have just handed the notebooks over.‘ But it ended in a way where everyone had a positive ending. Now to see how the follow up plays out.

There is just something I love about a mystery/thriller novel! Maybe it‘s the disappointment you feel when you get taken away from you reading and the suspense is starting to build up. This is the second Ruth Ware book I have read and I can‘t wait to read more!

A novella from the Different Seasons collection of a boy, Todd Bowden, who does well in school & one day meets as new kind of teacher, Mr. Dussander. A teacher who has a dark past & has been on the run for decades until now. Todd learns the true meaning of power & how seductive evil can be.
Note: Mr. Dussander was/is apart of the SS/Nazi movement (story takes place in the 70s) and does mention Nazi Germany and killing of animals.

The answer is: it would be boring (I think). Yesterday I didn‘t have a book to read and it seemed as if the day was never going to end. I hate spending the day on my phone and computer cause it‘s not good to do that plus I have no real social life so there‘s no one to talk to. Luckily today I bought two books as I wait for my library hold to be ready.

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I‘ll second that! I joined another audiobook site yesterday, just for the free audiobook for the first month...because I needed an audiobook ASAP...to much going on for my physical book. But whether you need fiction for an escape or nonfiction for the real story, life would be boring without books. 6y

It‘s a Stephen King book I wouldn‘t pick up again but it is a one I will add to my collection. The book is four short stories that of course have some supernatural setting. The last one, the Sun Dog, take place in a familiar town with familiar characters (mentioned). The main characters I know one was mentioned in Needful Things but the others I can‘t remember. The dog I almost thought was Cujo but I am not 100% if that is intended or is Cujo.

One last trip to Castle Rock. A new shop owner comes to town selling just what the customer wants. The prices are fair until the consequences of those prices begin to unfold turning Castle Rock into chaos. Just who is Leland Gaunt and what is it about Needful Things?

One of my favorite things about some of Stephen King‘s stories is when he mentions his other stories that have taken place nearby the central town of the book.

I do what to also know about those who made it to pacific island.

Did Pim reveal about the former life on the island? How, when, and why did their ancestors leave the island? Did Sara or Lore try to seek out Michael, Amy, Alicia, and Peter or did they just know they would never see them again?

I wish that there would have been more to what happened to some characters.

Like Michael, when he left New York, did he make it to the English coast or not? I like to think that he sadly did not. He either got caught in a storm or maybe stayed at sea and died there. If he did make it, maybe there was nothing there to make a life of and left or if he stayed it wasn‘t an easy task to survive (food, weather, or other human resistance).

It‘s never fun saying goodbye to characters one has grown an attachment to but what an adventure it has been from the first book “The Passage” to this the last book of the trilogy.

I do wish there would have been a bit more to what happened to some characters but it is always to think what their lives turned out to be like.

“When Thad Beaumont wakes to forge nightmare of George Stark, he hears birds, thousands of them, all cheeping and twittering at the same time, and with the sound comes a presentiment full of memory and foreboding: The sparrows are flying again.”

This book did not fail to leave me on the edge of my seat especially in the final few chapters. Just when I thought the story would go one way it went another. I do enjoy a good Stephen King novel.

A find in a Goodwill that I almost didn‘t pick up due to having a pile I haven‘t read yet 🙃 but I‘m glad I did and not will have to check out my local library for the rest of the series. The only thing I had an issue with when it came to the book was figuring out when the story takes place. It hints at modern time but also doesn‘t give much that says the story is in ‘our‘ time (no hints of cell phones and such). Still a good and easy story.

Slajaunie I recently read this book and enjoyed it as well. 6y

It was an interesting read that makes you hope that the government isn‘t messing with ideas like what the story is about. The characters at the beginning were very aggravating but once I finished the aggravation depleted a little bit once I learned why some characters acted the way they did.

The beloved movie in the form of a book...was ok. The first part, which is the movie, is just that. Part 1 is the movie bit by bit and you can practically watch the movie in your head as you read. Part 2, however, is a new story with old characters and new set in 2018. The ending does leave the story open for a new story with a new witch and a zombie.

The man we all know as Mr. Feeny takes us on the journey of his childhood and how he entered the realm of acting and his most famous roles. While I did want to skip ahead to the chapter about Boy Meets World, I read from the beginning as to have an understanding of his history with the theater and acting.

This is a story of a women‘s story of the dark side of online dating. She finds herself falling for a man who turned out to be someone he was not and someone she needed to protect herself and her family from. While this does start off with the cheesy side of the ‘love story‘ you do eventually get a look into what her ‘love story‘ became. It isn‘t the best writing in the world but it is a look at why caution should be taken with online dating.

An interesting read that is different from the horror of Stephen King. A short little novel that has elements the social talks going on with that bit of unusual and mystical elements that King brings in his stories. I do wish there was a little bit more of the main character‘s finale but I do also like how it ended. Not a “you have to read” but “maybe borrow from the library and give it a read.”

Any suggestions on how to read in a car without getting nauseous? I would love to be able to do that when my family travels but I always start work to feel nauseous. Also, how do the hashtag (like the 20 things about me) games work? I am new and unsure. Thanks for all help and advice!

Had to change from ‘pick‘ to ‘so-so‘. While the book was good...there was a lot of unneeded dialogue and details. The book made a lot of turns and before the truth could be fully unveiled you could piece it together. Will give the rest of the series a try.
