I really enjoyed this book and it‘s cast of characters. Each chapter follows a storyline of one of the characters and the author does a good job of bringing it together by the end of the book. Such a great story of family and what that means. This is the first book by this author that I‘ve read, but I‘ll be sure to check out his other novels.
As soon as I opened the package I could smell the smoke. I really want to read this book.
Such a great yet sometimes heartbreaking story of friendship and the strength to overcome. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
Such a good book so far. #rainySunday #schoolsoutforsummer
I liked the description and idea of the story but I wanted more. I just finished reading, it took me longer than it should have. I‘m not sure about the ending. Maybe I missed something.
Loved the alternating narrators and plot twist. I have to admit that it wasn‘t who I thought it was at the end. My ending would‘ve been really bananas. Solid read for me. The twist and writing had me quickly turning pages.

“Leaving does not stop the violence, and it doesn‘t guarantee freedom.”
“I was wrong to tell you that this is a story about the failures of love. No, it is about real love, true love. Imperfect, wretched, weak love. No fairy tales, no poetry. It is about the negotiations we undertake with ourselves in the name of love. Every day we struggle to decide what to give away and what to keep, but every day we make that calculation and we live with the results.” Fi
I love a good family driven story. I was not disappointed.
This book was 🍌‘s and a trip to Crazy Town. My friend and I read it this weekend and we couldn‘t put it down until the end. So many red flags 🚩. Social services is definitely over-worked but...wow. Also, the author of the book is a trauma psychologist. This is a Kindle First book, if I remember correctly. Sometimes they can be hit or miss for me.
In my opinion, Sally Hepworth does not disappoint. This engaging story is told with two POVs alternating between past and present. Lucy and Diana have a complicated relationship but would it lead to murder? Pub date is 4/23
Complex, dramatic and humorous at times. I really enjoyed this book. Although I had an idea what the big secret was, I couldn‘t put it down.
Thank you for the birthday wishes! I received lots of book money/gift cards. Spam me with recommendations!
Oh Pammie! This book was fast-paced with short chapters that kept me interested until the last page. Great way to end the year. Happy New Year everyone 🥳 🎊
I loved this book but boy was it heart wrenching. Such a good story of love between mother and daughter and friendship. I have to admit that I wanted a little more. This is the third book by this author that I‘ve read. I‘m looking forward to her next book being released in April.
Almost winter ❄️ break 🎄. The kids love Olive! #educator
