A great spin on the "boy meets girl, girl meets boy" book with a realistic portrayal of the struggles of children of immigrants. This is one of my favorite books about two people trying to "find" their way to each other. Every character had a unique voice and personality.

Great character driven thriller/police procedural with an intimate look through the killers eyes. The narration of the serial killer cuts through the rest of the story like a hot knife while the police are always just one step behind.

I almost have up on this one but I am happy I stuck it out. The author's attention to detail is phenomenal and the use of symbolism and foreshadowing the best I have encountered in recent novels.

I liked the idea of this book more than the execution. Some chapters were excellent. Others not so much. As a book it was a great book but as a mystery it was just adequate.
