pickSimon & Deena are a great, older, childless couple that are playful & their banter is fun. The story leads you down a road & suddenly a U turn. This is another book that I read strait thru & god help anyone who interrupted me.
Deena has been institutionalized for mental health issues in the past so when others notice her spiraling they grow concerned. The story visits the past enough so that you get a well fleshed out story.

The book is go go go but the vampires don‘t feel fleshed out enough? Maybe they weren‘t intended to be prominent in the story? I still found them interesting!
I enjoyed the location! Fun quick read! Good narration. Cassiopeia (lol) had her moments. She was perfect for her age.

He reunites with an old friend at his high school reunion & she all but throws her gorgeous self at him. Needless to say he‘s surprised.
They spend several chapters experiencing all sorts of dangerous situations. The weresteed … pony … jousting … was hilarious.
In the end it was a fun beginning of a series! I‘ll continue.
