Good action adventure, with a solid mystery. There were some sci-fi elements, but Preston kept it pretty grounded in current science and technology. I liked the Wyman Ford character, which is good since I have the other 3 books in his series. 4 🦖🦖🦖🦖

On December 11, 1972, the last manned Apollo mission to the moon touched down at the Taurus-Littrow landing site, a spectacular, mountain-ringed valley at the edge of the Sea of Serenity.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.

Mehso-so

This had chapters (mostly in the middle of the book) where it was very suspenseful and I wanted to keep reading. On the other hand, there were sections/chapters when it was a bit technical and not nearly as interesting. So, how interested I was in the book varied, depending what was happening at the time. Overall, though, I thought it was enjoyable, and definitely a good story. I really enjoyed the chapters that followed the t-Rex and her life.

I was going through my tbr stack and randomly opened this book to discover it‘s signed! I bought it at goodwill. I love signed goodwill finds!

#DickeBuecherCamp

⬆️⬆️⬆️ So betrachtet, ist da was dran.

⬆️⬆️⬆️ Aha, _sowas_ macht man also in geophysikalischer Chemie.

Throwing balls in my study, and these two came tumbling down. The dinosaur one was rec'd to me by an old security guard at a deserted museum I was at one afternoon. He said it's as good as a thriller gets. And he was right. Love that book. [cont...]

SGJ The Malamud, though? I've somehow never read it. I know and like one of his short stories, but can't even recall the title now. One more for the stack, then. 8y
SGJ The cover for The Fixer reminds me of Marathon Man, too. Another great thriller. Goldman was amazing. I'm guessing he's not around anymore. Maybe he's still amazing? On the page, he definitely still is. 8y
