The best part of FTF “Friday thrifty finds” according to Cricket is the box. I mostly picked up kid books today. 😁

pick#motherdaughterbookclub A super stressful middle grade read. A homeless girl hatches a plan to steal a dog in order to earn money to get a home. A solid read.

TEA TIME! ☕️ I'm just sitting here, drink tea and make plans for world domination.

pickI see understand why teachers + reading groups like to use this book. My own family has enjoyed reading it + discussing. With subjects like homelessness, making choices, judging others, overcoming obstacles - there is plenty to talk about. I also love that this book is set in my own state of NC with a little shoutout to my area. 💁🏻
I mentioned in my previous blurb on this book that the audiobook is a winner. Suzy Jackson narrates. I recommend!

#currentlyreading: This is another one that my youngest loved + recommended (aka wanted me to read) so we could discuss. He loves contemporary books. I'm reading in paperback + Kindle + audio, as one does 😉
• Great audio! I'm thinking that kids who may want to try/benefit from trying audio might do well with this one. It isn't very long + the narrator is compelling. #middlegrade
