Wow. This book was amazing. I found it while browsing the library ( in the mystery section of course) and I had never seen it before. The love story was truly heartwarming, the mystery had me terror stricken, and with every page I turned I was engaged. Sure it had a bumpy start, but so does every other book. Heart beating one million beats per minute I finished The Body Finder. Searching for a sequel...

This group is a mix. A few of these titles are books O already own in a physical or electronic form, but about half are books that I no longer feel a pressing need to read. My tbr feels lighter already!

DGRachel After having culled physical books across several moves and finally buying my first home, I find the prospect of TBR culling to be nauseating. I‘m rebuilding my book collection now, regretting/missing some of the books I got rid of over the last few years. After much back and forth I‘ve finally decided on The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting. This is the first in a series (though this reads just fine as a stand alone) that follows 16 year old Violet that has an uncanny ability to find dead bodies. She sees “echoes” that attaches to dead bodies and when she starts finding the bodies of murdered girls, she has to hunt for the killer before his “echo” fades away or she becomes the next to die.

RainyDayReading @TheFunkyBookworm Haha it‘s not as dark and dramatic as I make it sound 🤣 the echoes are like colors that she sees or a smell or a sound that she follows. It‘s got some high school drama and a love interest set in the background. I think in later books she winds up helping the FBI catch killers but I don‘t remember for sure. 6y
