Saint City has always been Dante Valentine's home. It's where she grew up, it's where her dead are buried, and it's where she learned to hunt. Now, one call from an old friend will bring her back to investigate a murder too close to home for anyone's comfort. But the one person she trusted has just betrayed her. Sometimes revenge is best served demon-hot... Pickpick

Another one finished last week is Bk4 of the Dante Valentine series. After the betrayals in Bk3, Danny is called back to Saint City to help her oldest friend track down a murderer. She ends up losing way too much & is hunted by police for something she did not do while Lucifer has his hot dirty little fingers in nearly every pie. This book is not perfect but it is heartbreaking & well worth a read. #SeriesLove2024 #BacklistReadathon #ReadAway2024

Mehso-so

Somehow this series was meh after book 3. But this is my #letterS on the #LitsyAtoZ challenge.

What this series does great, after I was so disappointed by A Discovery of Witches, is showing how an abusive relationship starts happy and it grows from happiness into hurt, but the main charactes walks out of it and refuses to be shoved around.
