The Noticer
The Noticer: Sometimes, all a person needs is a little perspective | Andy Andrews
10 posts | 14 read | 5 to read
A new story of common wisdom from the best-selling author of The Travelers Gift. Orange Beach, Alabama, is a simple town filled with simple people. But like all humans on the planet, the good folks of Orange Beach have their share of problemsmarriages teetering on the brink of divorce, young adults giving up on life, business people on the verge of bankruptcy, as well as the many other obstacles that life seems to dish out to the masses. Fortunately, when things look the darkest, a mysterious man named Jones has a miraculous way of showing up. An elderly man with white hair, of indiscriminate age and race, wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt and leather flip flops carrying a battered old suitcase, Jones is a unique soul. Communicating what he calls a little perspective, he explains that he has been given a gift of noticing things that others miss. Your time on this earth is a gift to be used wisely, he says. Dont squander your words or your thoughts. Consider even the simplest action you take, for your lives matter beyond measure...and they matter forever. Jones speaks to that part in everyone that is yearning to understand why things happen and what we can do about it. Like The Travelers Gift, The Noticer is a unique narrative blend of fiction, allegory, and inspiration in which gifted storyteller Andy Andrews helps us see how becoming a noticer just might change a persons life forever.

It is a bad bad book. That Jones guy seemed like a ghost to me manifesting himself out of nowhere. Very mediocre characters. 🙈🙈

In case anyone else is having a problem.

Thanks @LiterRohde

Suzze Mine says it updated this morning. I had to log back in on iPhone and iPad. 6y
SilversReviews @Suzze What‘s funny is that it worked on my phone and not on the iPad. I was worried - so happy to have all these wonderful folks that let us know what to do. A few other Littens said to log in and log out before I saw this post. THANKS to everyone. 6y
riversong153 This threw me yesterday. I ended up having to reinstall 😩 #firstworldproblems (edited) 6y
SilversReviews @riversong153 I think it happened late last night on my iPad. I just left it, but I panicked this morning. 😍 Thanks again to everyone who helped. 6y

Bailedbailed

Sort of a motivational parable; I kept thinking Jones was supposed to be God. Not really in to the sneaky religious theme. Didn't finish.

#ReadJanuary Took this pic off my balcony on a trip to Orange Beach, Alabama last January. #Dreamingofawarmerclimate and planning to go back in a couple weeks. I saw this book is set there, so got it on Overdrive. Had to bail. Sorry to those littens who liked it. Just not my thing in spite of identifying with some of the places mentioned. Too preachy & made me feel manipulated. At least I didn't buy it. @RealLifeReading

Another one of my favorites! Andy tells a beautiful story of the power of people. Short read, worth the time.
