I think I got more paint on myself than the walls but step one in my painting project is done. I‘ve ruined a pair of house pants but whatever. My hallway is a beautiful lavender shade.

So is my hallway floor. 😒

Living room will be the next room to suffer my paint wraith.

LibrarianRyan I feel ya. I painted my craft room last weekend. Still have to paint the floor. 5y
Geeklet @LibrarianRyan I‘m terrible at it but I really enjoy making a giant mess so I have a good time with it. 😂 5y
Slajaunie I love to paint but I am usually covered in it when I am done. 5y
LibrarianRyan @Geeklet you and me both. I actually have a pair of paint pants. And a pair of paint shorts. You can see every color I painted for the last 10 years. 5y
Darklunarose Painting is hard work, but it‘s worth it in the end! 5y

Not getting any reading done because we are painting our dining room today. We‘ve finished the walls, and hubby is currently working on the baseboards. I was looking over the walls to check how it‘s drying, and discovered that a spider got painted to the wall (not as large as it looks)😂 It‘s a wall hubby painted, so I can‘t be blamed. It should be covered by a picture.

Ashley_Nicoletto This is where spiders belong. Dead in paint. 🤣🤣😩😩 7y

Lynnsoprano @Ashley_Nicoletto I just had a friend send me a link to an article about why you shouldn‘t kill spiders indoors. Uh, no😂 7y
Ashley_Nicoletto Nope, if you're inside you're fair game. 🤣 7y
RealBooks4ever I‘d put a frame around the spider! Wall art! 💜🕷 7y
ValerieAndBooks lol! I can see how that could happen, though!! 7y

The Christmas Tree on my friend's window. Test run, I want to draw something like this on my window, too.

@Tiffy_Reads thank you for being you! Thank you for offering this gift to us.

SandyW How lovely. What did she use to create that work of art? 7y
AmyG Wow that's nice. 7y
julesG @SandyW We used a pen that looks like chalk drawing, by Schneider. 7y
Centique That‘s awesome! 7y

I have not been active on here lately. I've recently moved everything I own into the living room in an attempt to "adultify" my room. Currently, paint color choices are between a pale pink, light blue, and a purpley gray.

Joanne1 I like the top one. It looks fresh and calming, perfect for a bedroom. I live in an old house (over 100 years old) and the bedrooms are painted in a dull light yellow. I'm not a fan but the thought of painting 14 foot walls has meant I haven't done anything about paint colours in the four years we've been here. 8y
Laura317 I like them all, but the gray is my favorite. We have a gray that changes to a purple in some lights. It's lovely with white trim. 8y

Packing bookshelves part 2
This is the bookshelf 12yo got her dad to make for her. Her new minimal look.
Minimal is never MY thing when it comes to bookshelves, but seeing we have 4 other bookcases to store the rest of her books, I can live with it. 😂

Bette It looks striking! ❤️️😊👍 8y
kspenmoll Great dad; great look. Yr 12 yr old has good ideas/taste! 8y

Painters are coming tomorrow so it's time to start emptying bookshelves and wardrobes downstairs. Gulp. This one is just kids books.

Suzze That is why my house will continue to need painting. 8y
merelybookish Good luck! 😃 8y
GlitteryOtters So lovely! Also, like @Suzze, my house has needed painting for a while (last painted 12.5 years ago, before we moved in) & I don't know if/when we'll ever paint it because how do you paint in a tiny house with 3 adults, 3 large dogs & over 4K books?! 8y
Centique @GlitteryOtters I don't know how you can do it either! 😂😂 We've been doing one room at a time as we renovate but finally the last bedroom and all the hallway areas are happening. Carpet is next and I'll have to pack nearly the whole house 😳😳 8y
