"If you wish to walk no farther with me, I do not blame you. It is no easy road." It really isn't. This was extremely difficult for me to read. At times breathtaking, at times left me with ❔❔❔ over my head. But, I started this journey with Severian, and I'm gonna finish it.

Sadly I found Part 2 even less enthralling than the first. Severian has evolved into a stock "hero" with whom every passing woman is just gagging to have sex. A couple of dull interludes that seem to have no connection with the story. This is highly praised by many but it's not for me.
