My own “Dear America” story in the making… Rivvy helping at my event this past weekend. @ValerieAndBooks should recognize this celebrity face!

ValerieAndBooks I sure do recognize her 😊! What a treat for your daughter. Also congrats to you— enjoyed reading about your research that the President General discussed in her recent blog post. I‘m impressed at your hard work! 3y
mrsmarch @ValerieAndBooks Ah yes! The blog! I don‘t remember if the photo of her with all the pages was in the blog — if it was, Riv was in that too! But there was a picture of me with her in the blog! I had a nice time with her. 3y

Remember this series with the pretty ribbon bookmarks? We‘re finally chatting about it on my podcast! On Episode 96, we discuss the Oregon Trail installment, Across the Wide and Lonesome Prairie. Tune in to hear my guest and I talk about my Oregon Trail obsession, the lack of access to mental health resources in the nineteenth century, the book‘s depiction of race relations, and our odds of making it on this trip. Link to listen in bio!

Bradleygirl @rubyslippersreads @Literary_Siren I missed them in the 90s but discovered one lying about my Mom's house for the grandkids, a few yrs ago. So cute. 6y
Literary_Siren I‘ve also got the Royal Diaries series too. 🖤 6y

I loved the Dear America books growing up and continue to pick up new ones at book sales. They briefly did a miniseries of the original books but think they would make for interesting tv. Maybe tie them together through a preteen girl who finds the diaries or treat each episode as a single standing story. Technically it would be hard to pull off due to changing eras and sets but still think it would be cool. #fallintobooks #thisshouldbeatvseries

Mdargusch That would be a great tv series! 7y
Smangela I loved these as well! Would love to see maybe Netflix would do it? :) 7y
Chelsibno This was one of my favorite series as a preteen. 7y
MKbookworm @Smangela Netflix would be the perfect venue for it. 7y
