The Awkward Age | 
My first evening at home in what seems like weeks! Enjoying this slow exploration of a new relationship, attempting to unite two families, children threatening the new-found happiness of their parents.
Libraries close as of today, thank goodness I made it with thirty minutes to spare. Arms shaking slightly, should have taken a bag!

panI wish I had bailed on this one because the fizzled ending just added another level of annoyance to a book I already did not like. I sort of feel like the author wanted to write a more literary take on the drama of mixed families but didn‘t so the pretentious writing style seemed out of place to me. The cover was pretty much the only thing I liked about this book.
pickThis was quite the story! It's hard to explain without spoiling it, but a man with 2 teenagers meets a woman with 1 teenager and the man and woman fall in love and blend their families. Stuff happens. You read from various character perspectives in the here and now and get some back story along with what is currently going down. It is great and cringe worthy and funny and sad and would be an excellent book club pick
Made it to bed before 9 pm 🎉 new book and new duvet, I wish I could stay here until the weekend
Time to curl up with a glass of wine, a cozy quilt and my current read. This one is full of wit, humor and keen observations on relationships of all ages so far.
About ready for the night. I am going to run out and get a pedi but then I'll be back for #litsypartyofone
I'm not blown away by this book but it's light & entertaining reading for the hockey game tonight. (Go Pens!)
Off work early for ladies weekend. First item on my list was hitting up Left Bank Books. Sold some books, bought some books. And I got a gift certificate for our cat sitter.
