An excellent, fast paced romance. Loved the characters and the growth in them.

Just didn‘t work. Plot is jumpy, characters lurch rather than progress, telling vs showing. And the anonymous-sex club was ridiculous (for one thing, if nobody knows each other, and the date/password for the next event isn‘t shared at the current one, how could anybody attend?).

I have another Leigh on my shelf, so I might give her another try, but this was a big disappointment. Only finished because it was plane reading, and skimmed a lot.

Five pages in and already one of my grammatical pet peeves. This bodes poorly.

ravenlee @charl08 I haven‘t, but it‘s on my list. 5y
charl08 Sounds like you might enjoy it! 😀 5y

Finished Audiobook 2 for #bfc - This book was okay. I know it‘s a romance, but I found it very dramatic and didn‘t really enjoy it. I might be a little burnt out on romances. I‘ve been reading a lot of them lately.

Also completed my run today and a walk with my dog!

Will have my update post later today!

Another fun romance but this time the woman‘s the criminal and the mans an honor bound duke who has gotten swindled! I loved that twist and Cassandra, but I wish she‘d have accepted herself more, who doesn‘t love a villain? Alex is the Duke of Greyland in love but doesn‘t know how to be loved and the HEA for him is really touching. I love the cover of this novel, and I love the odd adventure and can‘t wait to read the rest of the series!

Because my goal is to run 3 times a week, Sunday is my rest day. Plus it‘s raining and my mom and grandparents are coming over, so I wouldn‘t be running anyway!

Yesterday, I completed a 1.23 mile run and then after I run I always go for a walk with my dog because he gets mad when I leave the house without him.

Yesterday was a good day! Oh and started tagged audiobook! Hope everyone is doing well!

I can't quite put my finger on why, but this did not do it for me. I wasn't invested in the couple, either alone or together. I was bored and skimmed the last 50 pages or so. I think I wanted the heroine to be more genuinely bad (she's a swindler as it was the only way to support herself) and to corrupt the uptight duke hero a bit?? But instead she kept insisting she was really a good righteous girl who wanted to get off the path of sin. Boring!

This book is excellent!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Alex, our hero, is super swoon-worthy and Cassandra, our heroine, is strong and smart and incredibly resilient! They are 🔥🔥🔥 together and the steamy scenes are STEAMY...! Eva Leigh also uses this book to set up another series with Alex‘s friends, Langdon and Ellingsworth, as well as referring back to the Wicked Quills of London series. Overall, a fantastic read that I recommend to all fellow romantics! 💓💓💓

theresidentromantic Eva Leigh has been on my radar, but I haven't picked her up yet, I'll grab the sample! 7y

I recommend this book to fans of the rags-to-riches trope. Leigh delivered an unconventional heroine and a reformed rakish hero. Don't miss the #Giveaway on the blog! @AvonBooks http://bambi-unbridled.blogspot.com/2017/06/arc-review-and-author-interview-from...

What a wild ride! This is a cross-class romance that gets rather adventurous (in more ways than one). I really liked the problem presented by making the heroine a grifter who had made the hero a previous mark - it turns the meet-cute on its head and presents a real problem rather than just those pesky "feelings". Ellingsworth and Langdon were a hoot as the comic relief - can't wait to see what Leigh has in store for them.
