Traci1 I would love to be able to make little creatures like this, but I don't know how to crochet. What would you say the odds are that one could learn to crochet (well enough to make little creatures) by reading about it? I did learn basic knitting that way, but I haven't mastered anything beyond scarves... 5y

Johanna414 @Traci1 you could totally do it! Once you get the basics down, following a pattern in crochet is surprisingly easy. I learned by using books, but there‘s also a lot of great tutorials on YouTube these days. The Crochet Crowd is my favorite 5y

So I don't know if I've posted about it on here, but my sweet 6 year old kitty has cancer and it's not treatable and he doesn't have a lot of time left. Today one of my friends from high school who I'm not so close with anymore sent me this sweet stuffed animal. I don't know if I've ever cried so hard in my life.

How nice is this page in the back of this crochet book?? I've never seen a craft book take the time to say "hey this might hurt your hands after doing this for a while so give yourself a break and also here are some stretches you can do to ease the pain"! Crafting is hardcore as fuck and I love seeing this author make sure her readers are keeping their hands loose and safe and comfortable ??
