The national bestselling author of Booked for Trouble returns with another charming mystery set in the most literary lighthouse in North Carolinas Outer Banks. Misfortune blows into North Carolinas Outer Banks when a dead body in a boat on the shore leaves local librarian Lucy Richardson racing to solve a strange new mystery.... After a successful party at Bodie Islands Lighthouse Library, librarian Lucy Richardson is ready to curl up with her cat, Charles, and a good book. But her R and R is cut short when she notices some mysterious lights leading a small boat to crash into the coast. The two shipwrecked seafarers survive the ordealbut one of them shows up dead ashore a few days later. Lucy finds herself again roped into a murder investigation and navigating a sea of suspects, all of whom had motives to deep-six the deceased. And this time, she has a sinking feeling that finding the real killer wont be so easy... From the Paperback edition.

So far, this is my least fav of the series. I hope this doesn‘t continue, but there seemed to be a lot of repetition that took away the enjoyment of the story. I imagine that has to be hard for authors; how to give enough backstory for readers who just picked up this book without alienating the people who‘ve been reading all along. Looking forward to OBX at Halloween, which is the theme of the next in the series!

I love this series almost as much as I love my fur baby. 😊 Enjoying these characters as they develop in this third installment of the series. This time, Lucy inserts herself into the murder investigation of a wealthy man who recently returned to the Outer Banks. There are developments in Lucy‘s love life and we get better acquainted with one of her new friends. #MountTBR

My #Bookly August reading report.

Reign_5.0 May you share this app name? 4y
Graciouswarriorprincess @Reign_1982 It is Bookly. You can get the free version but I upgraded to the Pro version which is a charge. I love it and find that I read a lot more using it. 4y
Reign_5.0 Do you use it more than Goodreads 4y
Graciouswarriorprincess @Reign_1982 I use both when reading. But Bookly has stats which I love seeing along with daily reading alarms if you set it up. 4y

Book 9 #cozyinthesun. @Librarybelle @ferskner another great book from this series. I am glad the love triangle was sorted out and love the cover and atmosphere of this book.

Librarybelle This one does have an amazing cover ❤️ 5y

Mehso-so

This was between a so-so and a pan for me. Of the 3 books in this series so far, this was definitely the weakest. It took me over a week to slog through It, and I can usually finish one of these in a day or two tops. The plot was slow and not particularly interesting, and the "character development" felt very forced and bordering on ridiculous. Don't think I'll continue with this series.

I'm hoping to finish this one up today. Currently reading while waiting for my daughter who's having her braces removed.

#ThisTableIsWeird

Traci1 @Bklover @GingerAntics she is thrilled. It's been a long 2 years. 6y
GingerAntics I just noticed the little metal boobs, now that you mention them. That is creepy. So glad you won‘t have to visit that waiting room anymore. 6y

I managed to only read just over 4 hours yesterday, so I'm starting out today with a little bit of a deficit for the #25inFive. Hoping to make it up with some of these. I'm reading Wedding Cake and Wagon Train in paperback, have the Eva Gates on Kindle, and am listening to Departure.

Andrew65 It‘s a good start. 👏 6y

I feel like my life is one big readathon. But I'm excited to participate in this one. I'm going to try to finish up the tagged book and The Magicians (maybe). Those two should be done today, and I don't know what I'll move on to yet. Maybe something Christmas-y? I'll try to post updates.

Andrew65 Great to have you with us, good luck. 👍😊 6y

I love this series so much and am glad I‘m listening to it on audio for my commute otherwise I would devour it in one sitting. Lucy is such a great heroine. She finally “picks” a guy in this book. Another murder near the lighthouse...this one is another great mystery, if slightly more predictable. #readwomen #cozymystery

Results are in - thanks to the 114 Littens who voted! Special thanks to those who spread the word!

While I'm not surprised we read a lot, that so many more read more this year is interesting. On my part, more time in a car meant more audiobook time. How about others? Has joining the Litsy family helped?

#HomeBytheSea #RockinMay Book 3 in the Lighthouse Library Mystery. Librarian Lucy lives in a lighthouse that also serves as the town library in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It's a fun cozy mystery series, with descriptions of town life during and after the tourists leave the area. Be swept up by the ocean (and perhaps a murder investigation)!

Cinfhen Lighthouse + Library?! Sounds blissful 💙 8y
Librarybelle Indeed, @Cinfhen ! Of course, there's also a cat. Can't have a cozy without a furry friend assistant! 8y

Bklover I enjoyed these too. I love lighthouses! Was sad that there won't be any more in this series. A library in a lighthouse was just too much fun! 8y
Librarybelle Agreed @Bklover , it was a great concept! I had not heard that this would be the end of the series. I haven't read this one yet, so I will savor it all the more. 🙂 8y
Bklover @Librarybelle I had been looking for another in the series and checked the author's website. She indicated the publisher canceled the series. ☹️ 8y
