Unsettling but not very thrilling. Middle of the road read for me.

Jane Robins‘s psychological thriller is a tedious, silly affair that poorly uses the serious subject of controlling male behaviour. The lacklustre plot is far too easy to guess and isn‘t helped by an alienating main character whose personality ‘quirks‘ include eating things that belong to her fundamentally unpleasant sister and who never acts in a believable or rational way (to the extent that at one point I thought she was special needs).
She has to lay on whatever is on the couch.

This was another weird book. There were parts that made me cringe--in a good way--and when the main character talks about drinking her own sister's pee from the toilet, I had to put it down and walk away 😂 It was definitely dark and twisted and just...weird. Did I like it? Yes? Lol It's definitely done its job and stuck with me the last few days. #WhiteBodies @TouchstoneBooks

Happy World Book Day!! What are you currently reading?
A little too deranged for me.. and flatlined. Sorry! 😐
Starting this one before work ! #currentread #amreading
The author is British and has written 3 non-fiction books on criminal forensics. This is her first novel and it‘s not bad. Nothing is as it seems in the lives of Tilda and Callie, twin girls. Tilda is an actress and Callie works in a bookshop. Tilda starts seeing a man named Felix, which soon sets off alarm bells with Callie. Felix is controlling and picky, but Tilda doesn‘t seem to mind. A quick read, with several twists.
Thanks so much @kezzlou85 for the lovely card and book - very excited about this one! Not heard of it before but the blurb sounds great! Yay for #litsypenpals!!
Convinced my fiancé to buy me books for Valentine‘s day. He told me my limit was 3 but I snuck a 4th one in. #bookhaul
One word. Disturbing.
These characters are W E I R D.. no other way to say it, weird. And that‘s what made it all the more unputdownable. This being Jane Robins debut novel I can‘t even imagine what‘s coming up next. I rated 4 stars

⭐⭐⭐⭐Cringe worthy. Disturbing.
Not the Explosive ending I was expecting but it was a decent thriller. I do recommend it. Great narrator if you like audiobooks.
Just started this on audio. I've heard great things!
Why are the books I‘ve been reading all about abusive men? Not a spoiler, it happens within first couple pages. So fitting since I‘m working on Valentine‘s Day Bookmarks. https://www.etsy.com/shop/Bookartbookmarks
Starting this while working on some more, of course
Tilda has found the perfect man but when Callie her twin meets him she's not so sure. He's too controlling and violent. Soon she's obsessed with Felix and trying to rescue her sister. Then she's given a solution but can she go through with it
Wow this was quite the ride. The story leads you in one direction then suddenly you realize it's actually going a whole other way. I love a good twist like that.
A thrilling read.
Although the plot-twist at the end was predictable... I thoroughly enjoyed this captivating, page-turning thriller.

This book was chilling and disturbing in every way possible. I found myself turning the pages faster and faster to see what was going to happen to these characters next. This is a true psychological thriller. Never knowing what the real truth is, the author portrays these characters in a way that causes some speculation and wonder. With the question of "what is really going on," this book will have your skin crawling.
This book doesn't come out until September 19th!! 😱 I found a copy at a bargain bookstore and screamed!! 50 pages in & I'm hooked!!
Sounds chilling perfect for this holiday weekend.Thank you @TouchstoneBooks
