pickWhen Amelie Nothomb states that one of her books was inspired by a certain work of art I of course have to check it out. And that's why I came across this story. I also got lucky to find this gem of a book with the stunning artwork of Alexander Pavlenko.
The story itself is truly Oscar Wild-ish. What came first, destiny or decision? What would've happened if there wouldn't have been a foretelling? Did Lord Arthur do the right thing?
My bestie and I were celebrating #independentbookstoreday without even knowing it was Independent Bookstore Day 😁 But we always hit the stores when we meet - what else should two bookworms do together? 😉

Sunday lunch with a little light reading.
pickI needed a lighter read. And this book is just perfect for that. It's an easy read, the book is short, it is a peculiar crime story, which is very fun to read. I highly recommend it!
I can't pick just 1 favorite author, so I narrowed it down to 3 of my favorites. These are works of theirs that I haven't read yet, but need to. I've read The Grapes of Wrath from The Portable Steinbeck and some of the short stories in Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, but not all of them.
