I was so happy to see a new book in the Fjällbacka series! I love the mix of cozy mystery and dark thriller. This one involves a murder in the art world and a parallel mystery decades earlier.

This was a very dark gritty horror. I can‘t say it wasn‘t well done, but I will say I wanted to be done reading it atleast 100 pages before it ended. it was endlessly gory & the bullying Oskar experienced was stomach turning. I‘m not typically squeamish but it got to be ALOT. I love a gross ugly vampire story & the atmospheric mystery surrounding Oskar‘s neighbor delivered for sure.

Reading a chapter of Winter‘s Tale and then getting started on this.

Really enjoyed this one! When a famous Scottish rock star is found murdered in the quaint little village where he grew up, Emilia, the town doctor and coroner, works with the beloved constable, Ewan, on the investigation. But when Ewan becomes the prime suspect, Emilia puts her plans to enjoy the village‘s holiday festivities on hold to clear his name, and find the real killer.

A little ghost is scaring all the wee orphans! But the little ghost (and his little blankie) learns that it‘s much more fun, and less lonely, to play with the orphans instead. And guess who gets to stay at the orphanage now? Extremely cute story and artwork.

Unsure, she seeks advice from the well-regarded magical Glass family but is soon part of a kidnapping and murder mystery, while also becoming the eponymous librarian. She also quickly falls for the Glass heir, but alas, he‘s engaged. This is an entertaining first ⬇️
