My mistake for picking up the last in the series without reading the rest. Even so, there was some clumsy writing and plotting going on. Props to the heroine for being imperfect, and assertive. Our hero is 12 years her senior, which was not my jam in fantasy land. He doesn‘t have so much as a grey hair, and he‘s very fit. Very mysterious as I don‘t recall him working out or having a profession.

Just finished reading The Right Swipe. Towards the end there's a cameo by Jia, and a blurb about how Rhi's brother was marrying into rich Kane family. All I could think was wait, I don't remember reading this book. Did I do one in the series? I thought I read them all. Get access to Internet. I did checkout the book before. Open book, apparently I never finished it, as it opens to chapter 7. Time to read about Eve and Gabe

Read for the #ReadHarder challenge - not my jam but I can see why she‘s so popular. If this was the kind of book I enjoyed, I would have loved this.

Her books are always so good, but I‘m pretty sure this was my favorite 😍 #romantsy #romance

Angela66 What is it about? 6y
Lauren_reading @Angela66 Hate to want you is book 1 in this series, the posted is book 3. They‘re contemporary romances about 2 families that were really close and then became enemies. They‘re diverse and the romance is so good. 6y
Angela66 @LaurenReads It sounds like it has heated romance 6y

The thing I love most about these books is that they‘re not about perfect people with perfect bodies and perfect hair, they‘re about real people with real flaws and real worries but good hearts. Eve and Gabe are my favorite of the series I related to them so much through out the book⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

CoverToCoverGirl What a wonderful review. 😊 7y

I do not think I have ever identified so fully with characters as I do in Rai's books. How Eve handles her emotions and people is painfully familiar. Gabe is a wonderful foil to her in how he has dealt with the turmoil of his life. How they interact and learn to deal with themselves and each other is so beautiful. I have never related to characters as much as I do Nico and Eve. It may take a bit but these will be in my personal library soon.

I think this was my favorite of the series! Loved the characters and how they supported each other while giving the other space to grow 😍 sad to say goodbye to these intensely interesting families!

I loved, loved this book. Watching Eve and Gabe fall for one another, face the world together, and get their happily ever after was just beautiful. The whole story and series comes together in this story and I highly, highly recommend it! Alisha Rai's entire Forbidden Hearts series is just utter brilliance. I'm so grateful to her for writing it.

Finished this book in a day 😍😍 I loved it! Reading Eve and Gage's story was lovely and it also was nice to see the characters from the previous two books pop up too 😁 #MarchBooks #romance

Well I gobbled this up in one day, which was kind of impossible not to do, but also kind of sad because now it's over!! I loved it, obviously. Rai's authentic characterization and grasp of emotional complexities are amazing. Somehow her steamy sex scenes are just as powerful as her wholesome family scenes and her descriptions of healing from trauma. When a book can alternately turn you on and make you cry happy tears, that's a talented writer!

Had to get shots today 😨

Found out I didn't get funding from work to go to a conference & immediately after got email from co-worker asking me to cover for them for said conference

Walked into a glass door and am embarrassed and now have goose egg on my head

But at least I have the new Alisha Rai book? #Romantsy

I LOVE this series—absolutely some of my favorite contemporary romances. The second novel in the series is my favorite but I also really enjoyed this one. Hopeful that there will be some spinoffs for a few of the great minor characters. 💖

Great quick, steamy, HEA read. It has a lot in common with the Scottish Highlander trope actually, but with mixed race and tattoo artist characters. (Alone in a place in the woods, girl less experienced than the older hot guy?) This comes out March 27.
For those that read Hate to Want You, Eve is younger sister of Nicholas from that book. #romantsy

HardcoverHearts She is a fun writer. I am looking forward to this one. I am second on the hold list. 👏🏻 7y
Notafraidofwords Let me guess, she‘s less experienced but she still so good that he is enthralled ? 7y
Bookchipmunk I "don't do romance" but after devouring the first two, I have this one on pre-order ? 7y

*sigh* forever. I loved this concluding installment to Forbidden Hearts and devoured it in one sitting. Eve and Gabe‘s story is far more like Livvy and Nicholas‘s story than Jackson and Sadia‘s - there‘s a LOT of inter-family drama and plotting. But it‘s SO GOOD. Plus alllll the family pops up and there‘s a tiny matchmaking subplot. The glue in this story is how having emotions and caring for others can hurt you, but it can also feel so damn good.

balletbookworm Also mrrrrrrr, that cover. Who knew a man-bun could be so sexy? 😻 7y

I just finished this and literally let out a huge sigh. The hero is one of my favorite men I‘ve read about in ages. He was complicated and dark—and I love the fact that he didn‘t lighten up after falling in Love, as if nothing had happened. But he did learn how to let himself love (sigh). And sexy? Wow? So hot!! #romantsy. #contemporaryromance.

EloisaJames Oh no! Put this under the wrong Alisha Rai book... 7y
Chachic I really need to start reading this series! I love their covers and blurbs 7y

Heyo! Alisha delivers a really good series finale with a Gabe and Eve romance. It's sweet, super romantic, tons of family drama, and even has a wedding. The ending felt just a bit rushed to me, but overall, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. It was also nice to see old favorites back (they feature more than they did in WANT TO NEED YOU).

The technology gods have smiled upon me: My Kindle is miraculously alive again!

Also the ARC gods have been super kind and approved me for the final book in Alisha Rai's Forbidden Hearts series. It's a blessed day. Thank you Edelweiss and Avon Books! #ARC #Edelweiss
