I‘m participating from the #25daysofchristmasmakeup I started so late and now I‘m super behind, so far I‘ve managed to create 4 looks. Here is one of them. I created a Winter Witch. I‘ll be sharing more as I go. What do you think, guys?

Love. Love. Love. Couldn't put it down, totally devoured in one day. Even though the main character, Morgana, couldn't speak, she was totally charming and likable. This was a perfect witch book for me.

Do you ever grab the wrong book by accident but end up being happy with the result? I thought this was the second in her series but this is a stand alone book. I immediately found the mute young woman protagonist to be fascinating. I‘m enjoying listening to this as I have had to run errands all day long.

The plot was slow to unfold at the beginning and when it finally got somewhere it was predictable. The abundant death (of animals and people) really brought this down and made it difficult to finish.

I enjoyed her first book, and maybe I'm just in the wrong mood for this one, but....yuck. First it was kind of boring, and now a series of animals have died or been killed in sad and disturbing ways. I feel that the dog seated to my right agrees with my decision not to waste more of my life.

Compared to Paula Brackston's other works, I found this a complete disappointment. A thin and predictable plot with little detail to pull one into the story.
