Texas Book Festival is coming up and I‘ll be back in Austin! Are any meet ups already planned, or should we get one started? Comment if you‘re interested and we can start a discussion! Open to suggestions!

Lauren.Archer I will be there, but just on Sunday. I have theater tickets at UT on Saturday unfortunately. 6y
Joy0201 I would love to do this. I‘ve been to the Texas Teen Book Fest before but never this one. 6y
Sapphire I went last year and really enjoyed it. Have been debating a day trip this year instead of for the weekend. I would be interested. 6y

corycatelyn 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ I could do the 11th or 12th most likely. 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa A book festival! 😮 6y
Robothugs This would be fun! 6y

Chasing_Pages That would be fun. I can definitely do the 12th. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I‘m most interested in the talks on the 11th, 13th (eve) and 14th (all). I have to say that the event on the 12th isn‘t all that interesting to me. But if it‘s the only time we can all meet up, I‘ll give it a shot. @Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Robothugs @Chasing_Pages 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa I‘m interested in the 14 too, all. LOL @BarbaraTheBibliophage 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa But I can definitely see that the 12, 13, or 14 would probably be best for a group get together, since that‘s the weekend. 6y
Chasing_Pages @BarbaraTheBibliophage I would really like to go the 11th as well, I might be able to switch with someone at work. But right now I work every night but the 12th. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Chasing_Pages Let‘s see how other folks weigh in before you switch your work (if possible). 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Why am I not surprised?? 🤪🤪👏🏻👏🏻 6y
Riveted_Reader_Melissa @BarbaraTheBibliophage Right! I could use some hopey changey after I finish reading Fear 😂 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Riveted_Reader_Melissa Good point!! Of course, it‘s next month, so we might read a few books in between too! 😍 6y
Librarybelle Darn! That‘s the same weekend I have a conference. This happen last year too! The weeknights are out for me due to work commitments. Have fun to those of you who can make it. Thanks for tagging me, Barbara! 6y
Robothugs @BarbaraTheBibliophage We could use the apps GroupMe or Line and make a chat for those that want to go. Then maybe we can try for a day for the majority, but others can still meet up on other days if they happen to work for them instead of that one? Just a suggestion! It‘s easier than sifting through these comments! (edited) 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Robothugs Good idea! I haven‘t used either app, but have had good experiences with Slack for organizing and off-Litsy communication. 6y
Robothugs I like the layout of GroupMe but totally up to you! If Slack is already what you all use I‘ll get on it. 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @corycatelyn @Robothugs @Riveted_Reader_Melissa @Chasing_Pages We started a group in the GroupMe app. There‘s a poll to vote on which event we are most likely to attend. (We should tag everyone again, I guess.) Click here to join: https://groupme.com/join_group/43870940/sASzGm 6y
corycatelyn @BarbaraTheBibliophage I can meet up during the on the 11th or 12th. I work the 13th and 14th. I'm not planning on attending the events. I'm up for whatever...just let me know! 😊 6y

JSW

Woot! I have tickets for me and my mom for the Bay Area Book Festival! We are going Saturday and going to two talks: Murder She Writes and Beyond Jane and Hermione. Bay Area bookworms, hope to see some of you! #bayareabookfestival

JSW Tag all the bay and NorCal bookworms!! 7y
HardcoverHearts There are SO MANY AMAZING PANELS!!! My heart started racing too fast. I need Hermoine‘s Time Turner in order to save everything I want. I also want to suggest, if you can afford it, to join the Women‘s Lit program. There are a ton of fantastic benefits plus you would be supporting the women authors at the event. 7y

SusanInTiburon Thanks so much for the tag — I‘m gonna be out of town (ahem Madrid ahem) so I‘ll miss it, but I hope it‘s great! 7y
JSW @SusanInTiburon oh sure. Like you‘d rather be in Madrid. 🙄 ENJOY!!! 7y
FreeReadAndWrite I‘m behind on my Litsy notifications but I‘d love to come & meet up w ppl! This is one of my favorite events of the year. It‘s early this year, though, yes? 7y
JSW @FreeReadAndWrite I think so. I feel like it was in June last year? Anyway, I‘ll be posting again when we get closer! Would love to meet up! 7y
Blueberry They moved to April to better partner with UC Berkeley's schedule. I will be there with @NATALIEPATALIE 7y
NataliePatalie Fun!! I was interested in the Jane & Hermione one but it's at the same time as a Shakespeare panel I'm going to! I need my own timeturner lol. 7y
