Did a little grocery shopping on my own today so I had to stop into the Halloween section to see what new trinket I could bring home. Just LOOK at these!!! These adorable little guys were just screaming to come home with me 😍

Yes, along with all my skeletons, this unnerving couple will be named and have a home on my horror shelf all year round!

The hubs and I gave ourselves a night away with an acoustic Pop Evil show in Lansing, which was fantastic but more importantly I broke my December reading slump with Dead Girl Running! On to Survive The Night!

Harlequin's Reader Service book haul. The first two were free, and I tried them again, for $30 I got 4 books, not bad. Funny enough, I have been dying to read Christina Dodd's Dead Girl Running for the longest and she was one of the free books I received, yay!

Oy. This book suffers from trying to be too many things and from having too many storylines. Kellen manages a resort. She‘s ex-Army. Except her name is not Kellen. Once she was an abused wife. Once at another point in time she lost a year of her memories to a gunshot wound. Now she‘s unofficially investigating a murder. And a smuggling ring. And there are many, many suspects and people who act suspicious. Convoluted and silly. 😳👎🏼

Starting a new book before I go to bed and this little friend jumped in my lap - a very rare occurrence as #Lucy is more of a scaredy cat than a snuggle buddy. Hoping it‘s a good omen for a good book! #catsoflitsy #petsoflitsy #lucy #readingatbedtime

There was so much going on in this book - it drew me in, surprised me and I can‘t wait to see what happens next.

A convoluted plot with way too many strings but writing was suspenseful.

I'm trying to read Dead Girl by Christina Dodd. Having a hard time enjoying the book. I'm only on page 74, does it get better or am I waisting time?

This book was a little too busy at the beginning for me, but I did enjoy the second half! There is just a blast at the end, which makes me want to read the next one! 🌟 🌟 🌟
