pick❤️ this was an interesting unauthorized biography of the best landlords you could have. i love watching I Love Lucy always makes me laugh. got some real insight in the lives of these two.

I will forever reread these, especially Marilyn Monroe and Lucy Ball
pickLucille Ball‘s memoir, which was discovered in her papers after her death. I recommend the audio, which is narrated by her daughter, Luci Arnaz. Mostly because Luci really does a bang-up impression of her father Desi Arnaz. 😀 I paired this with season 3 of “The Plot Thickens“ podcast, which did a 10-part series on the lives of Lucy and Desi. I recommend both of these together for a full picture.

pickWhen you have work you have to get done before Thanksgiving, but instead spend the afternoon reading the second book in a series. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️Jude continues to be a good character but she is also, at times, extremely dense. The ending of the book took me by surprise and packed a nice punch. On to the third book…oh and back to work 🤣 Meanwhile, #Lucy is ready for reading and snuggles. #petsoflitsy #catsoflitsy #readingbuddies
pickThis was very enjoyable. I audiobooked this and it‘s read by Lucy‘s daughter who nails the accents of her parents perfectly. The book recounts Lucille‘s family life and her early career, the tumultuous times trying to build her family and life with Desi, then life at DesiLu empire with a young family, and her life after that. A story of a life lived with ambition, passion and a desire for love and happiness. ❤️
pickI‘m listening to this one on Audible, and it is just lovely. Her children found the manuscript along with hours of tape-recorded interviews and notes in a box after she died. It is read by her daughter Lucy, and she does a wonderful job.
