Now a character has used “Jack Torrence” as an alias! I‘m loving this book! ❤️❤️
I am absolutely loving the Pendergast series! The mix of crime thriller with a supernatural twist is the perfect combination. I‘ve enjoyed the first books, but I‘m super-excited about this one because it gives a nod to one of my favorite literary villains, Count Fosco!! ❤️❤️
This is the 5th book in the Pendergast series and the beginning of the Diogenes trilogy. This one starts out with the death of an art critic. The scene of the crime, though, seems to suggest he was killed by the devil. Fortunately, Pendergast is on the case, and D'Agosta is back to help.

96 of 2020. Per usual, this was another great story in the series. Aloysius Pendergast is one of my favorite characters. He is extremely intellectual and quirky. I find him hilarious. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Book #5 in the Agent Pendergast series. This was an enjoyable and interesting read. I did guess who did it fairly early on, but the ‘how‘ eluded menu til the end. And the@cliff-hanger at the end....thus book has, by far, seen Pendergast unsettled more than any other. Can‘t wait to see where the next one picks up the pieces of this one. Also good to see things go the right way for D‘Agosta in this noon too.
Not feeling great today so I‘m switching back and forth between catching up on my shows and reading
Wishing the rain would stop for good! The south is drowning! Lots of reading being done, though!
I liked the beginning and end of the book, but much of the middle lost my interest. I‘ve listened to many of the Pendergast novels, but have not been happy with them, so I finally tried an ebook, but I‘m not sure it‘s worth another chance. This one was way too long, and I don‘t think I‘m enjoying them enough to continue on. The ending has me a bit intrigued, but I‘m not sure it‘s enough. Cont in comments...
#monstermadness2017 Diogenes Pendergast could be an #invisibleman . He is selfish, lacks empathy, and exaggerates his emotions (is actually sort of a super villain).
FYI: These three books, The Diogenes Trilogy, are actually book 5, 6, and 7 in the Pendergast series. 🙂
Day 4 @bookriot challenge: my #favouritevillain is Diogenes Pendergast #riotgrams #bookstagram #agentpendergast #diogenespendergast
Entertainment ala modern day Sherlock Holmes type of tale.
