This is not something you read at bedtime, but I did last night. It's a dark, dismal story, and leaves you bereft of any hope in the world.
My first time reading O'Connor, and I fell in love with her writing. Dialogue synthesis, descriptions of nature, adding layers to characters is something she does brilliantly. Looking forward to reading more of her work.

cathysaid Her writing is such an excellent representation of the Southern Gothic genre. And she had such a fascinating yet tragic life as well. Imagine her as friends with Truman Capote! Makes sense now, right? 6y
