#wintergames #thefilthyanimals I am a huge fan of the illustrations of Julie Vivas. She has such a delicate use of shape and colour. Although I love all of her work, the tagged book is one of my favourites. The text is minimal but the artwork simply breathtaking. I‘ve added it to the Christmas library of all of my nieces and nephews. It‘s a classic!

Eggs Gorgeous art ♥️ 4y
Come-read-with-me @Eggs It is truly amazing. Every page is a beautiful water colour picture. I would frame each page and hang them on my wall! (edited) 4y

Advent book #1.
A friend asked about favorite Christmas/winter holiday books. I love this one. The text is King James, which is meh. But the illustrations make it amazing. The weary, pregnant Mary trying to ride a donkey, the angels with tattered wings. This book is loving and real and slightly irreverent, exactly how I like my Christianity.
