@Klou #BookRecTag

Catching up

1) the 11th book in the "Chronicles of St Mary's" series - I love the series, but this one I love best

2) I don't believe in feeling guilty about reading anything I like, I'm drawing a blank

3) lots of people loved this, but it wasn't for me

Klou Thanks for joining this challenge!! I'm going to add #1 to my tbr and I agree with #2. I struggled with that one too. Good choices!! 2y
julesG @Klou Keep in mind, my #1 is the 11th book in the series. The first book is 2y

100 people have added books I recommended to their stacks 🎉

Does anyone else feel a sense of responsibility when this happens? I really hope that they like them as much as I did!

Happy 1st November everyone ❤

Traci1 I get that. I also feel somewhat guilty when someone says they'll avoid a book a didn't like. 🤷‍♀️ 4y

Crowdsourcing book recs for a friend—any suggestions? I‘ve already recommended Parnassus on Wheels and the Penderwicks... as well as 84 Charing Cross. A couple people have also suggested Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, but that may be less light and happy than she‘s looking for. Would love any suggestions from Littens!

BarbaraJean @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I feel like you might have some good recommendations! 5y

I'm so sorry you guys I have been lagging.... I have a lot of new stuff going on.
But today is #Recommendsday for #MayMadness and this week we're talking about comics and graphic novels. So what are some books that you would recommend in that genre? Please comment down below👇👇👇
@Clwojick @RadicalReader

BeansPage I personally would recommend almost anything about Batman but my absolute favorite is the Knightfall series 👍😃👍 5y
wanderinglynn I love anything Neil Gaiman, which includes Sandman, How to Talk to Girls at Parties, Only the End of the World Again, A Study in Emerald, and the graphic novel adaptations of his books. 💜 5y
Kimberlone Watchmen. It‘s absolutely essential and is truly one of the first graphic novels that felt like Literature. I reread it about once a year. 5y

So I have a ton of books, but can‘t decide what I want to read next. I‘m in the mood for a light romance. Opposites attract, or friends who grow into more than friends, or love/hate.... A fun summer read, but not a throw trashy read, if that makes sense. And GO!

Literary_Siren Anything by Hannah Howell!! Scotsman. 🤤 need I say more? 😂 6y
Purrfectpages @Literary_Siren I‘m totally guilty of judging books by their covers. I don‘t think her stuff is for me. 6y
Literary_Siren Okie dokie. But I think you‘re missing out. 6y

Purrfectpages @literarysiren I am also trying to read from my massive TBR pile. But you couldn‘t know that 😆 (edited) 6y
Sarah83 Any book sets in a bookshop? 6y
Sarah83 Or anything by Jenny Colgan? 6y
Cinfhen Just read and loved 6y
brittanyreads All time favorite! 6y

julesG Anything by Penny Reid, for example (might be free on kindle) 6y
KristinaRay The first book that popped into my head was Something Borrowed by Emily Griffin, if you haven‘t read it. 6y
BeansPage Sweetie you should get involved in the #MakeMeReadIt . You choose a stack of books and everybody votes on what you're going to read next in what order. It's a ton of fun!!!🤘🏻😄🤘🏻 6y
Purrfectpages @Kristy_K I need more like that! 6y
Purrfectpages @KristinaRay yes, I‘ve read that one. 6y
Purrfectpages @julesG I really need to make a dent in my TBR pile, free or not! Lol 6y
Purrfectpages @sarah83 I have some Jenny Colgan I believe, but I don‘t always do well with Brit Chick lit. 6y
Purrfectpages @Cinfhen I believe I have that one! 6y
Purrfectpages @TheReadingMermaid that does sound like fun! Now I just need to narrow it down to a small stack! Decisions, decisions... 6y
BeansPage Just don't forget to tag #MakeMeReadIt & @TheReadingMermaid 😉 6y
JamieArc If you haven‘t read The Kiss Quotient, I think it‘ll be the perfect choice! Light, sexy, and smart, it features protagonists that aren‘t your average characters, and I haven‘t flown through a book so quickly in a long time. 6y
robinb I second this one! 6y
Purrfectpages @robinb @JamieArc I SO want to read The Kiss Quotient! I don‘t have that one yet though :( 6y
Purrfectpages @mhillis I don‘t think I‘ve ever heard of that one! 6y
Sassy_Steph Ayesha at last 6y
julesG Since it's on your TBR: 6y
Purrfectpages @Jules‘s you‘re right! It is on my TBR! I don‘t have it though. :( 6y
Purrfectpages @Sassy_Steph I don‘t have that one either, but it looks interesting! 6y
StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego Write the titles down on separate pieces of paper, and draw a name 😊 6y
Purrfectpages @StillLookingForCarmenSanDiego yes, I‘ve seen the jar idea, too. I successfully picked my next read....for now! 6y
