This was a serviceable closed door Christmas romance. I was leaning towards pan but the ending was sweet. The characters are both borderline annoying. Also the narrator was not great, which was distracting. 2.5⭐️

Meh...I guess I can call it cute but it was too Hallmark Channel like, same old same old. It helped me pass the time so there's that.

Is it me or do you read between the lines when a protagonist is a writer with writer's block? Maybe we read to many picture books with circle stories in my family; but while some details of this story felt unique, many other portions gave me deja vu to numerous other storylines with the same premise.
