I finished Hollywood Homicide and Hungry Hearts this week! My favorites from Hungry Hearts were The Grand Ishq Adventure by Sandhya Menon and Bloom by Phoebe North 💕 #bookreport

There were a few standouts in this collection, but more mediocre ones or ones I think I won't remember in the long run. It was nice to see a sampling of a few writers of YA I hadn't tried since I tend to not read that age range much. Added a few to my 'watch' list.

After dropping off my carrito 🚗 (little car) to get new winter shoes installed on it, the hubby and I stopped at one of our favorite breakfast places for some fresh-squeezed orange juice, a half portion of goulash, and strawberry crepes 😊😍 We definitely had hungry hearts and left with full bellies!

Hungry Hearts is a collection of 13 YA short stories that "explore the intersection of family, culture, and food." Perfect for November, me thinks!

Short stories by different authors all set in the same world, in the same neighborhood of a city. I didn‘t really get into the world, how it all ties together. It felt loose and a little sloppy, trying to tie it all together.

Got the stack ready for #24in48! Featuring a gift basked I decorated as gift for my boyfriend a while back hehe. It‘s a busy weekend so starting early tonight just to get some hours in 🤗 Don‘t think I‘ll make the goal, but that‘s ok!

Amazing collection of stories! Warning ⚠️ Don‘t Read any partof this book.. WITH AN EMPTY STOMACH ! Food descriptions are mouth watering inducing& a hard reminder you don‘t live in a town with a Hungry Hearts Row Of amazing and diverse cuisine 🍲🥖🥘🍛🍱🍤🍣🥟Love Stories are not mushy- very heartwarming& on the realistic side 😊the stories deal with real issues& real emotions the characters must face and endure. A definite recommendation to all!

I love everything about this book! I love the all the stories, I love the authors, everything!

The whole anthology was a delight but this quote especially struck me.

Don‘t read hungry. Honestly a really great collection of stories that tie together. Really well written and will leave you craving the foods in the stories. Still can‘t get over Rebecca Roanhorse‘s story.
