Ruthless corporate raider Matthew Farrell was poised to move in on the legendary department store empire owned by Chicago's renowned Bancroft family. In the glare of the media spotlight, it was a stunning takeover that overshadowed the electric chemistry between Matt, once a scruffy kid from steel town Indiana, and cool, sophisticated Meredith Bancroft. Their brief, ill-fated marriage sparked with thrilling sensuality -- he was the outsider who dared to rock her country club world -- and ended with a bitter betrayal. Now, locked in a battle that should be all business, dangerous temptations and bittersweet memories are stirring their hearts. Will they risk everything on a passion too bold to be denied?

As the name suggests, this is a heavenly read.
This book has been read a lot of times as you can possibly see 😀😂❤
One of my all time favourite second chance romance book.
Be ready to engross yourselves in a captivating tale of the two strong ,independent and beautiful characters , Matthew Farrell and Meredith Bancroft.
This is their journey of love, betrayal, heart break, defeat and success.

This is a sweeping, epic romance that begins when Meredith Bancroft is just a preteen, observing her father run his empire. Fast paced and thoroughly entertaining, it is no surprise that I‘ve heard others mention how much they love this book. I read Sydney Sheldon relentlessly in my late teens, and this was a little reminiscent of his stories. Romance isn‘t my favorite genre, but this one offered a little more with its epic tale. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Here we are again. One pup behind my head, one on my feet, a cup of coffee by my side and a great book! I plan on finishing this book today. ❤️📚🐾 #sundaymorningvibes #dogsoflitsy #sweaterweather

This one was passed on to me in a box of books by an old neighbor, who would give me books once she, her sisters and mom had read them. She had a rule that she didn‘t want them back - she didn‘t keep books around her house. I‘ve had it for years and never picked it up because I‘m not a huge romance reader, but it‘s time to clear the shelves. It‘s a bit of a door stopper at 706 pages. 📚❤️

AileenRR Omg this was such a favorite of mine 20, 25? years ago! I wonder if it still holds up today 🤔 I don‘t want to ruin my good memories of it by rereading 😬 3y
Elizabeth2 @AileenRR I completely understand that! 😂 3y
Crazeedi I love thick books! 3y

#two4tuesday @TheSpineView

📚 Aren‘t there always books we don‘t get to? #bookwormproblems. I do have a door stopper (tagged) I didn‘t read at the end of this year that I plan on picking up in January.

📚 No regrets! After a poor reading year last year because of grief over losing my Dad (losing your second parent is next level), I had a good reading year this year.

Thanks for the tag @Eggs . Littens, if you want to play, you are tagged!

Eggs You‘re most welcome 🙏🏻. My dad died when I was 17, but mom lived into her 90s. When She passed I felt unmoored so I understand that feeling “(next level”) Hugs 💙💛💙 3y

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I remember buying it on a whim thanks to one of Amazon's emails and when I picked the title from my book jar, I was excited to read it. I don't read too many contemporary romances and even though this one was pretty long, the story kept me entertained. 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Repost from Penguin Random House's Facebook page because I just thought this was so beautiful and profound.
